Florida Beaches are oil free!
Just thought I would do my lovely state of Florida a little public service by announcing that, contrary to many news reports, Florida beaches are still pristine and open for business! I live in Pensacola, Florida on the Gulf Coast
and Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key are all perfect at this point.
The oil slick has been pushed by winds toward Louisiana at this point and we Floridians totally hate it for those folks. We are praying that the wildlife and the huge, number of people who make their living from the Gulf will be able to survive this terrible tragedy.
Gulf Shores, Alabama is also oil free and a huge music festival is going on this weekend. It is a great time to visit. I cannot guarantee you that the oil spill will never affect Florida but as of now, things are fine. Hope some of you can come down and visit our state!
