Default Anyone else love the classics (music)?

I'm not just talking about Mozart, Beethoven, etc. I'm talking about music that really calms your soul.
Music with the piano or violin; SOMETHING from the every day modern hip hop.
Music like the 60s or 70s where the song really had a meaning that WASN'T sex, violence, etc.

Anyone else like the classics that are truly soothing and meaningful?

Links are to Youtube:

The Zombies- Time of the Season

Joni Mitchell- Cactus Tree

J'adore la musique classique !

Yann Tiersen- Comptine d'un autre été

Jean-Jacques Goldman- Je Te Donne

I understand the term "classic" means differently to different people.
I should have used the term "older music". xD

The piano and violin are not music. They are instruments used for playing a variety of styles of music.

Oh yes I'm a lover of all types of music really aside from that modern hip hop, rap, etc. That stuff makes me feel crazy.

I love Loreena McKennit when I'm just feeling like calming music! I'll post a couple of my favorites.

Yeah, okay so I can't even pick favorites. I love to bellydance to her music.

Oh love Yusuf Islam and Joni Mitchell too!!

I didn't mean it like that. I meant songs WITH piano or violin.

I have a wide range of musical taste. Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles are my go to classics. I also enjoy hard rock/heavy metal. About the only thing I don't like is rap (with the exception of a few classics).
