Wow..that is just...sooo unnecessary.
I always love when i can find a movie theatre that has frozen yogurt  Otherwise i don't normally get anything/i sneak in my own food.

I don't like to eat when I watch a movie so its rare that I've bought something other than maybe a small diet drink (although their drinks are hardly small).

I stopped buying snacks at the movies awhile ago. Sometimes if I'm hot, I'll buy an ICEE, but thats about it.

I saw this today too...rare that I go to the movies these days but I always got the large popcorn no matter what...maybe not now...dang!

I never got popcorn at a movie because it's too expensive! I mean, $17 for a medium popcorn and drink? Please! I can wait until the movie is over. Besides, if you drink a lot then you just have to get up during the middle of the movie to pee, and I'd rather not miss anything.

i smuggle food in. my dad gave me a lecture once about how hard it is for movie theatres to stay afloat and that i should buy from them to help them out but my reasoning goes like this: when they start selling apples and baby carrots I'll start buying from them...

In the "Sad end of an era" thread, some of us noted that there's now a trend toward opening "adult" movie theaters: NOT XXXXXXXX-rated, but catering to mature moviegoers who don't want the movie-theater experience overrun by teenagers. Among other things, these theaters have "airport lounge-style full food and bar service" which I hope means you can find something light and healthy (on the other hand they serve popcorn with REAL BUTTER)

I basically never buy food in a theatre, either, the exception being the Burger King at the one I sometimes go to, I can get a veggie burger there at least.
