I will be spending time with my sister and her family. I'm looking forward to having some cheesecake.

I'll be going out to a 'colonial' type restauraunt with fireplaces and other 'warm' decor' with one of nieces, my sister and her Ex hubby .... I'm not really excited about it, the ex is not one of favorite people, so I'm 'taking one' for the family I guess, I'll be cordial and polite to him... A big positive is I'll be able to control what I eat easier than at home.

I will be cooking as usual. I enjoy cooking the turkey and all the good stuff that goes with it.
Just the 5 of us, I think.

We are going to my parent's house. We haven't been there in years because I have been doing all of the cooking. The one year my SIL cooked, we went to her house and I felt bad for my parents because they were alone. We did see them on Saturday, but it was not the same. I am glad I don't have to cook this year. I like cooking, but I get really stressed about all of the people at my house.

My husband and I have been married for seven years (as of Nov. 2), and this is the first year we've had any major family drama over the holidays (despite having three sets of parents between the two of us).
I think we jinkxed it, when on Monday we were discussing how holiday plans were turning out to be the LEAST stress-free of any year in our marriage (and the next day, all heck broke loss over how thanksgiving was going to be spent - with whom, where, and when).

I Love All the Holidays
Our 3 Darlings come home!! I Love when they are all home, miss those crazy days when there is so much noise, lots of food, and lots of laughs!! I Love, when I get to cook and bake and most of the leftovers go home with them, a win/win situation This year, I've been requested to not skinny it up so I do plan to make their favorites, but I will make sure I have some yummy stuff for my DH and myself to enjoy!!

As always my whole family and many friends serve dinner at the Soup Kitchen. Its a very long day but a lot of fun.I grew up this way.We never have had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. And since many family members are in the medical profession, many are working as well.I enjoy working on the holidays.I love my patients!!!

The next few weeks leading up to Thanksgiving is all about avoiding the Swine Flu as we have a special Thanksgiving planned this year. My husband is the oldest of 8 kids and all of his siblings and their families will be going to my SIL's place in the Birkshires to celebrate Thanksgiving and also to watch my BIL and his wonderful fiance get married so I very much want to make it to their place this Thanksgiving.

I will be working on Thanksgiving. I was scheduled off since it falls on my RDO, however, my partner had to work every holiday last year and I didn't feel it was fair for her to do the same again this year. So I offered to work for her. My shift is 4-1230, so technically, the DH & I could have a dinner before I go, but we both work til 1am the night before so I'm sure we'll be sleeping in & not worrying about cooking! haha So, that only helps me not OVEReat and gorge myself on leftovers!! Our families are back in W.V. so no contreversy there...however, my mom hates that we can't be home for the holidays! Oh well...it's more money...AND LESS TEMPTATION!!! haha

Well kiddo, geographically it might be easier to send you down to Norfolk VA and have my nephew introduce you to some of his NAVY buddies I'd hook you up with him but he's only 19 and already thinks he's in love with a girl ....the right guy will come around
Thanks for sharing everyone!
We have added a Thanksgiving here on the following Saturday. It will be across the street at my brother's house. Most of us in our family can make that one...as a family we continued to be scattered on Thanksgiving this year.
Enjoy your day

I'm counting the days!
Our daughter is coming from Houston. Our son is coming from a few hours away and my parents are coming up from Massachusetts. I've got a lot of baking, cooking and last minute cleaning to do before Wednesday, but I can't wait to have everyone under the same roof!
