Default My changes Has Helped My kids Lose weight!

I have 3 children and 2 of them was/is overweight which I dearly love them and would never mention it to them~because they are beautiful no matter what & Kids shouldn't have any worries When there kids
Anyways,
I started feeling horrible about all the junk food I had been feeding them so I switched out to lots of 60 calorie yogurts and Sugar free pudding/Lots of fruits & ect for there snacks~I wasn't really thinking about them losing weight I was just trying to get them eating a little healthier.Anyways~when I first bought my scale back in Dec. we all weighed. My daughter weighed 183 and is 5'3" And Her pants was nearly falling off her today and she had to get last years jeans back out so I had her step on the scale. She is 165! So she has lost about 18 lbs. She will be 16 next month....Ok my son age 11 He was 5 ft 2 in. In december and weighed 192 he has grew alot he is now 5 ft 6 inches and is 183 So He has grew taller (He is gonna be super tall I think being 5"6" Inches at age 11) Anyways, He has lost about 9 lbs. My youngest child is 8 weighed 55 lbs and is at 59 And still wears slims!(so thank God He gained a little bit He grew taller too by about 2 inches. My husband Which isn't my kid but feels like he is somedays is 6'1" and was 182 Now weighs 178 ~but he always loses down to about 170 to 175 in spring in summer anyways!(and in winter he is about 180ish) LOL
Anyways~Change Helps~WANTED TO SHARE

Awesome job with urself and the kids! I wish my mom went that route--changing from junk food to healthier options when I was a teen. Instead she put my on diet pills and crash diets at 13 even though I was maybe 10lbs overweight.

I buy "healthier" junk if you want to call that for my kids--100 cal packs, baked snacks, and lots of fruit--sometimes in a parfait with yogurt... Plus I sneak veggies and sometimes benefiber into their food to up the health factor.

I think it's so great that you are doing this. Your kids will thank you one day if they haven't already

Lori you are setting such a great example for those kiddos. Your older ones are really seeing the benefits of your work and dedication to becoming healthier. What a good mom you are to make sure your families health is a priority too. I have to watch my older daughter's choices constantly but am always sure to be careful with my words and how many times I say something. I just try to limiit poor food choices here at home. I am with you kids shouldn't have to worry about things like this. I just want them to be healthy though and not have any additional issues to face as a kid. Kids have enough to handle these days!

And hotcubanmama~I wish my mother would have done that for me too.
But I don't think she really understood. Mine never gave me diets pills or nothing though so I am so sorry to hear your went through alot as A teen~Must have been rough.
Glad to hear your doing different by your kids also.

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOU THIGHS! I agree about the property...We got almost 4 acres & we are only about 5 miles from town so it works out great.
My daughter did have really noticeable red streaks on the sides of her hair LOL~She is going through "THE GOTHIC" stage. We got them the trampoline for an early easter gift. They had one several years ago but It was so old that I got rid of it because It was kinda unsafe looking.I have enclosure for this one but we let them jump for a bit because it took forever to get what ya see put together LOL~But we got to get the enclosure on it for more safety.
