Food Network has cancelled Emeril Live
It will cease production on Dec. 11.
He's been doing it for 10 years. They will continue Essence of Emeril and he'll take part in specials and such.
I can't say I'm disappointed. I don't watch his show everyday but I love it when he does things for the troops.

Honestly, I have to say, the show has gotten old. I stopped watching it a long time ago. Plus, I'm sure he could use the time off, he has two young children that I'm sure he'd like to spend more time with.

I think it was getting a little "tired" too. I didn't enjoy hearing the same old cliche's over and over.
I love the way he cooks, though!

Honestly, never got into his shows....he just didn't "capture" my attention overly much...however, his products, especially his sausages, are to die for! I wish the grocery stores would stock more of it.

I loved him in the beginning, but they way overdid it. It became the Emeril Network
Why don't they cancel Sandra Lee?

I could do without Emeril and Sandra Lee! Actually, I'm not a fan of Paula Dean either. My favorite is the Barefoot Contessa.

Oh my gosh, i thought i was the only one that Sandra made BARF and i have never made anything of hers that was good. She may have gone to culinary school but i find it hard to believe she "graduated" from it.

The Barefoot Contessa ROCKS!!! My favorite ...
Emeril is a sweet person, and I love him and the way he cooks. He's brilliant, but I got tired awhile ago of his "bamming" and too-cutesy mannerisms so it's time for someone new in that slot.
I used to slam Sandra Lee all the time ... but I can't do it anymore now that I've read a little of what's in her biography. You have to admire her for just walking around! Talk about a hellish childhood ...

I don't know anyone who actually likes Sandra Lee's show. I mean, she doesn't cook, she dresses up things from the store and then makes a cocktail. I didn't know she had a bad childhood though.
On the subject of food shows, I LOVE Nigella Lawson's cookbooks, but her show is dull. Her personality comes across better in her books.

I don't watch foodnetwork that much anymore, but when I do, it's usually Good Eats with Alton Brown.

Hi,
I think alot of the Food network shows are geared towards the working family.. quick meals ex... Rachel Ray...
I agree Emeril has gotten boring, I don't like alot of his food, some just doesn't look appetizing.
I like some of Rache Ray's meals , there is this new women... who has a show for light and healthy meals, I like her, but most of the Food network shows just aren't for me.. A women who doesn't eat red meat/poultry , likes to try ethnic foods, and is looking for healthy , light recipes.

That's my favorite show too! Does anyone watch Top Chef on Bravo? I love that show.
