Drury already HAS started scoring...for the RANGERS!!! Just rub it in, why don't ya? And you losing your cup sounds like a personal problem that maybe Angie should help you with

DANG IT!

We just lost to the Washington Capitals .... Caps 2, Hurricanes 0. We looked awful. I think someone kidnapped our fiery team from last night, and those were imposters in our uniforms tonight!!!

Hurricanes record: 1-1-1

I think the Sabres were replaced by the Bills! Totally flat on their feet.

Sorry guys, I don't use my internet at home (never sit down long enough) so I hadn't read this thread in 2 days!

Though with the 2 big games over the weekend....I knew there would be some chatter with Techwife

I have to say I am in shock at the outcome, but Sabres lost a couple amazing players and apparently the Islanders landed a couple themselves! I wouldn't go so far to say at the Sabres played badly, the games were close and AMAZING to watch. But the Isles beating them twice in a row is something to be proud of!!

Watch out teams!!!

After these 2 wins, I am SOO excited to go to the Rangers/Isles game Wednesday.....it's going to be great!!

ThePrettyOne, we're all having to get used to playing some "new teams" this year. The Washington Caps are loaded now, compared to last year, and just stomped the Hurricanes the other night. The 'Canes have got to throw off the injuries/illnesses as best they can, and bring our work ethic from two years ago, or we're going to be in the basement like last year!

Having said that ... tonight:

GO 'CANES!!! BEAT TORONTO!!!

I know...the Capitals beat the Islanders 2-1 in an afternoon game yesterday. Last year we were walking all over them! Going to be exciting!

Well, that Sabres sweep by the Islanders still isn't as painful as the Bills game last night. Thursday night is our next game. CAN'T WAIT! Lots of promise in our new Sabres team. We lost Drury and Briere and they were our captains and the 'big brothers' to most of the team and I think they're feeling the loss of leadership. It will take a little while, but I'm confident that once our Sabres find their feet without B&D, they'll at least make the playoffs this year.

What the heck....Islanders 1, Maple Leafs 8!! The backup goalie was playing, but that's no excuse. That guy was half the reason they made it into the playoffs last year when DP was injured!

Okay...trying hard not to get too excited, but it seems as though our young guys are finding the confidence to win and that they don't need Drury and Briere to do it!

shhhhh....I don't want to jinx anything...

Okay, guys, HUGE wins for the Hurricanes last Thursday and Saturday nights, over the OTTAWA SENATORS (YES!) and the Montreal Canadiens. We are now 4-1-1, and I'm almost afraid to say it ... but they're reminding me of our 2006 Stanley Cup team! But there's a zillion games to go ... so I'll just enjoy the ride right now.

Techwife, I thought you'd be happy after the last Sabres game. I can about SEE your smile!

Let's go, 'Canes! Get the Penquins and the Flyers NEXT!!!
