prayer thread to those in minneapolis

LLV - small blessings, but...the school bus that very nearly fell when the bridge collapsed - only 10 children had to be taken to the hospital, of the 60 on the bus. The remainder have been released...all survived.

When I saw the photo of that school bus...well, I'm just glad they got the kids off the bus and evacuated quickly, and got them out of harm's way.

Such a tragedy. My heart breaks for all of the people in MN.

It's just like a nightmare come true. What an unbelivable tragedy.

My heart goes out to each and every person affected in any way by this horror.

Sending up my prayers for everyone involved in the horrible tragedy.

We have relatives living in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, so this has really hit close to home. My dad has been trying to call his family out there, but so far we haven't heard anything.

Thank God that school bus didn't fall into the river.

All my life I have had a fear of bridges and people laughed at me. My fears are well founded , they do break.I have'nt heard from my Minnesota family, yet.

I still have not heard from our friend. It is hard to wrap your head around.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone during this difficult time. What a horrible tragedy.

Emily I hope you have some good news soon. I'm so sorry.... I hope they're just in hospital right now and is getting medical attention. I've heard that people are spread out in area hospitals and I hope that's the case for you.

I read about everyday people rushing to save others on land and in water as best they could. What strength our nation has in time of crisis.

Well, unfortunately we found out our family friend was one of the 5 deceased. Her name is Sherry Lou Engebretsen. I am friends with her daughter and she was a client of my mom for almost 15 years. We are very sad. I still pray that the others missing are found!

This is too scary...it made me think of a bridge close to where I live that they close down because it was falling apart underneath and falling onto the freeway! I've always been afraid of driving over bridges, specifically one in CA I drove over a lot and this is why.

It's terrible that it happened and my heart goes out to everyone there. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

Emily, I am so sorry for your loss. I saw an interview with Mr. Engebretsen and his daughters on CNN yesterday, and I felt so sad for them. Best wishes to you and everyone else who has been affected.
