Default What do they do with excess skin after surgery?

I know some of you have had lipo and other skin removal surgeries. What do they do with the skin? I would think that some of it could possibly be used for burn victims.

I know that may sound bizarre but it entered my mind when I looked at Tann's pix in the mini goal album.

It's disposed of and cannot be used for skin grafts.

The Trauma Burn Center explains why on this page http://www.traumaburn.org/who/skinbank/faq.shtml

Thank you. Both those links explain quite a bit. It's too bad but I totally understand.
