I don't like mayonnaise. I buy it for use in small amounts, as a binder for things like tuna salad, or occasionally when I make devilled eggs (about once every 2 years!) also I can never remember that I have it in the back of my refrigerator, so then I buy more, and don't use it....
And I know that on many diet plans it is something to shun and these plans advise throwing it away, so.... I was delighted to find out from my hair stylist this tip: Don't throw it out! It makes an excellent hair conditioning treatment, similar to a "hot oil" treatment. Take the mayonnaise and heat it up just a little in your microwave, so it doesn't feel like cold plaster on your head, and work through your hair. Put some plastic wrap over it, sit someplace warm for about 10 minutes, then rinse or shower it off and shampoo. I tried it and it really does do a nice job of softening the hair!
