Me too, Dutchgirl. I was going to walk down to the Diner for poached eggs but it's 0ºF (-18ºC) out there with a wind so I think I'll drive and go for groceries after that.

Gary, your gift from you and the kids to Angie was a great idea ! I am so glad you didn't get her a new toaster or a new vacuum cleaner. Believe it or not there are some people who consider those things a gift. Not Me !!Gifts for the house just don't cut it .

Bargoo-- You made me laugh--- the first year we were married my dear darling husband bought me a WICKER LAUNDRY BASKET for my birthday! YEP! You heard that right! Was not a very good choice on his part and he soon learned that.

Household gifts are OK as long as they are not called birthday or Christmas gifts.

Demanding? If she puts up with you she deserves facials, massages and anything else she wants on a weekly basis! And I admire a woman that knows what she wants.

It is snowing again, dagnabbit!
There is a lot of snow and snowdrifting forecast and we are being told not to go out unless we absolutely have to.
At this rate it will be April before I will ever be able to use my scooter again

Karen31, my first gift from my new husband was a set of nutcrackers! I nearly used them on him.

Pretty cold this morning at 0ºF/-17ºC. The dogs made a really quick trip outside for potty - back in less than a minute. I bet there's yellow snow on the deck but I can't blame them.

Stay warm.
