Oh What A Year It Was!
1972 ~
What a great year it was....I graduated that year from high school.... I remember .... President Nixon....what a guy ;) Watergate 11 Israeli Athletes killed at the Olympics id Munich....I was dating a jewish girl at the time...very hard on her family All In the Family ~ Mary Tyler Moore ( my girlfriends favorite...no smooching during that show...well commercials ;)) Bob Newhart and Marcus Welby rocked the TV Carole King won everything in music it seemed like...Tapestry...WOW!! What a record.... Lakers were world champs as well as USC football and UCLA basketball...a great year for me :carrot: I wore bell bottom pants and paisley shirts...Levis and blue denim shirts...with a cool colored shirt underneath... very long hair! the girls loved it :) 1972 was a good year for me...how about you? How about another year? Any year....bring back some memories... If you are old like me and the memory fades...google it! ;) |
I was in 2nd grade. Life was pretty darn easy back then!!!
Jump forward to 1982. I was graduating from High School. I had big hair, hairspray, straight leg jeans, topsiders, preppie was in. I also weighed about 135 (I looked great!), had a cool boyfriend who was really smart (We drifted apart and when I saw him again, he was not as cool. But still smart.). Mom and Dad took care of things for me, I had a 1966 Ford Fairlane, a job at a tourist destination, and I drank a lot of beer (was a little wild back then). Good times! |
1982 was a good year for me.
I had a one year old son and was practicing for my future daughter...whenever the ex was up for it. Living in my 3 year old home that I bought new...not a repair needed in site! Making a lot of plans for the future with my now ex-wife...life was good...we were the perfect couple... boy did that blow out! Switching to 1967...I was 13 years old....7th grade...frozen mini pizzas in the cafeteria were the rage ~ those 3 astronauts died in the fire on Apollo1...devastating ~ Vietnam ~ Summer of Love ~ The Beatles were all the rage ~ UCLA was #1 in basketball and USC was #1 in football....I was just becoming a big fan of each ~ fighting my folks to have long hair!! |

Let'e see 1988 ~
Well I was still a young man....38 :) I had a 7 year old son and 5 year old girl that kept me busy! Was still with my first wife... I was going through a rough patch in my business but thought my wife was over her "I don't love you any more" issues....wrong! Kids were just getting ready to take off into their foundation at church, school, youth groups and sports... ex-wife was just getting ready to take off ;) |

1990 - my daughter was born!!! |
I can't pick a year. There are 3 best years of my life.
