I got a little gift today of a nice digital crockpot, and I am looking forward to getting some good use out of it! Will be nice to set it up and come home with to a nice cooked meal!
So, does anyone have any yummy, healthy (lowfat, etc.) crockpot recipes to share?? TIA!
Sure do! Buy some Jenni O turkey breast and stick them in the crock pot. Pour 1 cup of apple juice over the top. Set to cook for 8 hours on low. Add in sweet potatoes around hour 6. Or you can leave them in there the whole time, but they will be very mushy.
I simply take skinless chicken breasts, sprinkle them with garlic powder and black pepper, throw that in a crockpot. Then pour a can of 98% fat-free mushroom soup on top. Cook for 8-10 hours. Chicken comes out really tender and yummy. Soooooo easy and good!
My Favorite cookbook, Fresh from the Vegetarian Slowcooker. Everything I have made from it has been great (except the Chinese Hot Pot! Avoid...) But all else, yum, and lots of beans, grains, and veggies.
