I started the program last week, so it's a little new to me. Congratulations on your GREAT start and may you continue to loose those extra pounds!
A NICE breakfast treat is:
FRENCH TOAST ( 1/2 protein, 1 starch, 1 fruit)
1 T skim milk
1 slice diet bread
Dash of sugar substitute
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg (
, this, I omitted. But, you may like)
Desired fresh fruit
Beat egg well. Add milk, spices, & sugar substitute.
Add 1 slice diet bread & let stand in egg mixture until absorbed.
Brown both sides in pan sprayed with Pam.
Top with fresh fruit. The cookbook suggests 12 sm strawberries. I topped mine with a sliced peach. Blueberries would also be good.
