Default MasterCook - ? about different versions

There's quite a $ difference between the older versions and the newest, and I was just curious if the newer version is worth the $20? I ONLY want it for inputting my recipes to get the nutritional values. Don't need the shopping lists or meal planners... Maybe there's a better system for my needs?

It probably depends on which older version you are looking at. The only concern I can think of would be the USDA nutrition database that is used for the backend. You want to make sure it's fairly current, to make it easier to enter your recipes and get correct nutrition results. Otherwise, I don't think there is much of a difference, at least in the last few versions. To be honest, I don't remember what the older versions were like, even though I had them

Thanks for the feedback. I think it was version 7 I noticed.
