True Lemon

  • Curves was handing out samples of true lemon last week so I tried it and really liked it. I've been having some trouble finding it when I went to Jewel they said they took it off the shelves but I don't know why.

Do you think this is healthy to add to my water? It's got to be better then crystal light.

I like to put a packet of true lemon and a pinch of stevia in a glass of selser water instead of drinking plain water or crystal light.

  • Stevia and lemon instead of artificial sweeteners and chemicals? Way to go! Good choice!
  • Thanks Yogini! I'm just wondering if this true lemon packets are as good as adding a teaspoon of real lemon concentrate.
  • Better than all of it would be some actual fresh lemon juice from a real actual lemon. But, there's nothing wrong with the packet o' stuff. There are some sugars in the ingredients, but if you are only using the prescribed amount, it's next to nothing.
  • funniegrrl what are the sweeteners in it? It says no sweeteners on the package. I have to be careful because I have diabetes.
  • Interesting! I've sent for a sample, thanks for the info. I love a slice of fresh lemon in my water, without any sweetener, but this will be interesting to try.
  • I love true lemon. I have been able to find it at walmart and kroger both. Its about 3.99 for a box of 40.
  • Until now I don't think I have ever heard of True Lemon. I too order myself a free sample of it. I like a little lemon in my water and sometimes tea. I think if I like it I am going to start buying it.
  • Thanks Crd. I'm going to have to try wallmart for it. What section did you find it in?
  • Did you try putting in your zip code to find stores close to you that carry it?
  • Lactose is a sweetener (milk sugar).
  • they have this on their webpage about using True Lemon if you have diabetes -

    >>For people with diabetes, True Lemon® is an insufficient source of carbohydrates. With less than 1/2 gram of lactose per serving, True Lemon® falls well below the recommended minimum sugar intake for people with diabetes. So if you’re following a diabetes management program, True Lemon® can be used as often as you like with no affect on blood sugar levels.<<

  • Annie I did try and put in my zip code and they sent me to Jewel which had taken it off their shelves

Kristin thanks for the diabetic info.

If you like lemon in your water I'd recommend you order a free sample. It's refreshing and totally portable. I love it in seltzer water with stevia or splenda. It tastes just like pop!
