Heavenly Halibut

  • I am not a big fish fan, so finding a fish recipe that I not only liked, but REALLY liked, was pretty amazing, and it's so easy, so here it is:

2 Halibut steaks (about 140g each, "dry" with paper towel)
Enough low-fat sour cream to lightly coat the steaks, with a bit of olive oil mixed in.

    Crumb mixture:
    Crumble 5 low-fat saltine crackers
    1 1/2 tbsp of low-fat Parmesan cheese
Shakes of basil, paprika, garlic, steakhouse pepper

Coat Halibut with sour cream and oil mixture, roll in crumb mixture, and bake for 10 min at 500 F.

For the amount of stuff I used, I figured out this was about 220 calories per piece.
  • I make a recipe similar to this. Instead of the oil with the sour cream, I use ff mayo. I then add dill to this and put it over the halibut and bake. Sometimes I put sliced mushrooms and onions on top of the fish first, too. It's also good on salmon. I love fish.
  • hey Allie, that sounds very good, I am from Ontario, Canada too, eh!!!!
I make one similar to you WaterRat with FF Mayo.
