Default Frozen Chicken Question

I just picked up a bag of Tyson 99% fat free frozen chicken breasts and I was looking at the nutritional infomation and it says it is based on 1 piece (196 grams). I was just wondering if this 196 grams is the weight of the chicken frozen, defrosted, or after cooked?

I'm pretty sure it would be the average weight of the thawed chicken. They usually coat it with ice when freezing, so they wouldn't count the extra weight of the water.

I would just count it as 1 piece a serving and not worry to much about the weight, that's why they list that.
I don't have a problem with the sodium. Just make sure you drink a lot of water when eating foods like this.

Actually suchaprettyface, if she's talking about the ones I think she is.. the sodium content of a serving is 240mg sodium.. thats not that bad. Granted, its more than non-additive chicken would be, but its the same as their fresh chicken breasts.. and unfortunately, not all of us live in an area where you can get other brands. I'm lucky if I can find Sanderson Farms and I have to go to a completely different store.. sometimes they have it, sometimes they dont. The convenience of having individually frozen chicken that is easy to thaw might be worth the extra 100-150mg of sodium. All in all, that wont make or break my day's sodium content.
