What do you absolutely HAVE to have in your pantry/fridge/freezer at all times when you're eating healthy?
And no just saying "fruits and vegetables" - duh! But you can list fruits and veg if there's a specific one that you maintain a supply of at all times because it's critical to your diet.
Mine are:
whole wheat pasta
brown rice
canned tuna in water
peanut butter
natural almonds
whole wheat tortillas
frozen shelled edamame
frozen spinach
frozen brussel sprouts
frozen chicken breasts
Morningstar Farms Chik'n patties
strawberries - fresh or frozen
boiled eggs
orange juice
bananas
carrots
plain non-fat yogurt
A lot of other stuff drifts in and out of my diet, but those are the staples I always keep around to fall back on!
Eggs
Cheese
Chicken breasts
cucumbers
apples
lemons
these are probably the main things i can not live without;-) others are changing all the time depending on my mood or season
Eggs
Half and half for my coffee
Nonfat or 1% milk for everything else
Alfredo sauce
Various McCormicks packets for gravy, tacos, slow-cooking recipes, etc.
Pasta and I tend to buy penne, fusilli, and macaroni
Tyson boneless chicken thighs
Lean ground beef
Pork loin
Ham steaks
Cold cuts, always ham or turkey. I like rosemary and honey ham the best.
Cheese of all kinds. I buy lower fat cheddar cheese, but everything else--my mozzarella, parmigiano, and colby, and havarti--are full fat.
Hummus
Special K cracker chips
Hot chocolate pouches
Fudgsicles (the 80 calorie kind)
Sourdough bread
