Coffee Flavored Greek Yogurt

I just had an absolutely delicious, lick the container, yogurt at lunch. I could eat this stuff every day. The problem is that it is pretty expensive. A small regional company makes this yogurt. They have all sorts of wonderful flavors and even frozen yogurt. http://www.atlantafresh.com/store.html

ETA: I just noticed that one of the ingredients is vanilla extract. I wonder if I could add some cold instant coffee to vanilla yogurt. Maybe use 1 T. of water and dissolve instant coffee. :?: Dang that stuff was good! Their chocolate rocket is good, too! I need to get back to work!

Here's my question. Has anyone added coffee/sweetener to their Greek yogurt?

I add stevia and cocoa powder to my greek yogurt. I've also done a lime flavored one with lime juice and stevia. I'm going to have to try out the coffee flavored one with instant coffee and stevia.

Beck I like the idea of stevia. The Greek yogurt I had today was a little "loose". It wasn't as thick as regular Greek yogurt. That's why I thinking you could dissolve some instant coffee in water. I think you would want a good amount of coffee to give the full flavor. The variety I had today used French roast, so it had a good strong flavor. I don't have any plain or vanilla yogurt right now. I won't even try this until this weekend or next week. If you try it, please post your thoughts and measurements of what you used.

That sounds wonderful!! I eat a lot of Greek vanilla yogurt... bet a bit of Starbucks Via (the plain kind) would be good in it! I may give that a try!!

Misti Hi  If you try it let me know your thoughts. I think the coffee needs to be dissolved, though. It doesn't seem like it would be right if you just use the granules.

I did it! I just made the coffee flavored Greek yogurt and it was just as good as the more expensive product that I bought. I used Stonyfield Vanilla Greek yogurt. I bought a small container of instant espresso. I wanted a higher concentration of flavor in the smallest amount to be used. I dissolved the espresso and Kal stevia in a small amount of water. Then I stirred that in the yogurt. I don't know the exact amounts of the stevia and espresso though since I was playing with it. Also, mine had less calories. The stevia and espresso both have 0 calories. I guess that's correct. :dunno:
