Default Peanut Butter Suggestions

Can anyone suggest a great tasting peanut butter? I currently eat Naturally More peanut butter and have been eating it for about 4 years now but it doesn't taste the same anymore. I don't like Jif or Peter Pan because I think that they taste like a stick of butter. So now I am on the hunt for a delicious peanut butter that taste great and possibly low in calories. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'll second PB2, but I like the PB2 chocolate. You just add water, but I like to add more water than the directions say. It tastes SOOOO good....I love to have it with some celery sticks cut up very thin.

So PB2 is only available on Amazon?

They are also available at bellplantation.com. If you go here http://www.bellplantation.com/products/locator you can find a retail store that may have it in your area. For me, it was too far away. I ended up buying 4 1lb. bags of it because it's easier for me to use and it turned out cheaper than Amazon, even though I'm a Prime member who gets free shipping. I would definitely try it first though.

I LOVE Arrowhead Mills Organic Creamy Peanut Butter. It's made w/ Valencia peanuts, so maybe that's why it tastes so darn good. Beware, though: I could sit and eat it right out of the jar. It has no sugar or salt, but it has a sweetness to it (maybe the Valencia peanuts??).

I like PB2 for when I'm trying to save calories, and Smart Balance for my "normal" peanut butter. Although sometimes I just want the extreme smoothness of Jif, too.

Trader Joes has a Valencia pb now as well (with sea salt), it is delicious. I love natural pb but I sure do hate that first stir of a new jar. I store it upside down for a day before I open it, and that helps a lot.

LOL---I do the same upside down trick! I also like TJ's p.b., but I noticed that the last few times I've been there they haven't had the organic one, and I like to buy organic. I'm going there again on Thursday, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they have it.

Oddly enough, though, I actually prefer the unsalted Valencia peanut butter--seems sweeter somehow.

This is the best peanut butter I've ever tasted. It's so good!
I make a delicious carrot peanut butter soup that really stretches the peanut flavor for 159 calories/cup.

I found the perfect peanut butter at WalMart. The name is Peanut Butter & C0 ~ Dark Chocolate Dreams. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! It tastes just like a reese's peanut butter cup.

They also have White Chocolate Wonderful & Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. The good thing about this peanut butter is that it comes in a small packet (Peanut Butter Portable Squeeze Packs) that costs about $0.68. You can try it out before you buy an entire jar and not like it. And you can carry the packets around around instead of the entire jar.

2 tablespoons is 170 calories.

I haven't bought it yet as I still have a stash of PB2, but I'm going to try Protein Plus Peanut Flour. It's way cheaper than PB2 and it's just peanut flour, no added sugars or salts like PB2. Want to make it taste chocolaty? Just add a bit of cocoa powder.

I found that I like it as a powder to dip my apple slices in - with a bit of cinnamon and I'll be trying it soon for some thai sauces and other nut sauces. That stuff has most of the fat removed, but not the protein, so it's great for getting the peanuty taste without all the high calorie fat.

Haven't tried the other nut butters but it sounds good. I have been eyeing almond butter but I'm scared to try it. Almonds are delicious but they still have a tad bit of a bitter taste.

We have only a few stores that we can chose from in my area but I love trying new things.

I will look for Sunbutter.
