I never thought I'd actually ENJOY natural greek style yogurt. You know, with out the sugar and artificial flavourings etc.
I sometimes make a dessert out of it by putting a teaspoon of drinking chocolate in a small bowl of it, and oh so yummy!! but without the caloric punch of chocolate ice-cream. The one I make yields <100 cal per serve.

For me, it's plain Greek yogurt and beans. I once tried plain yogurt, and thought it was nasty, but I eat plain Greek yogurt mixed with frozen fruit, on burritos/fajitas, and even make a creamy, wonderful pasta sauce with it. I adore the stuff, and go through 3-4 17 oz containers a month.
With beans, I used to always roll my eyes when my mom would make a pot of beans. I felt, "great, a boring meal." Sometimes they'd be plain, sometimes they'd have little pieces of sausage in it. Not my thing. Now that I make beans, they're good. I use seasoning, have it with rice, or make burritos with it, or mix it with spinach, peppers, and other veggies. It's very good. My husband will sometimes make bean patties, which I love. <3

Could you tell me how you make your creamy pasta sauce using Greek yogurt?

asparagus. I never thought I would like the stuff. I still don't, actually...BY ITSELF. I sauteed it with some peppers and tomato and had it with a poached egg. DELICIOUS.
This morning I put it in an omelet. ALSO DELICIOUS.
It's really good with other stuff. I NEVER thought I would say that I like asparagus!

Raw natural Almonds. There was a time when I could never imagine eating a nut that wasn't covered in salt. :-) But I love Almonds now, and they're a great snack w/a side of cottage cheese.

Just in case you all were wondering, the name of those noodles are Shirataki noodles. I saw them at Dierberg's if you have one around you, but they aren't usually sold at places like Wal-Mart, etc. I personally didn't want to try them because I heard the smell/texture was quite gross. I'm definitely one of those people that won't eat something if it smells bad or the texture reminds me of something disgusting.

Yogurt. I used to hate it. Now I LOVE it and eat the Chobani 0% several times/week.
Peppers are my other big one. I still don't love green peppers, but red/orange/yellow bell peppers have become a dinnertime staple. It's so funny to me that I always used to pick the peppers off/out of dishes!

Yogurt with cocoa powder. The thought of yogurt and chocolate together makes me gag, but when I first started eating differently, I craved sweets, so tried greek (plain, nonfat) with unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla and a little agave to sweeten. Add frozen blueberries and it's ice cream-like. Adding the fruit took off the tart edge of the yogurt (I try to avoid using too much agave). It's now my favorite dessert after plain old dark, dark, sweetened chocolate.
BTW, cocoa shows up on many metabolism-boosting food lists. Guessing it's the caffeine, but dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you (in moderation, of course).

Veggie burgers. I always thought these would be uber-gross...like spongy faux meat. But no! They are vegetables...turned into burgers...who knew??? So far, have tried a few kinds and they are delicious.

Powdered peanut butter!! Pb2. 85% less calories than peanut butter. Tastes like the natural stuff, just add a bit of water... My kids have no idea and we all love it!
