Default Subway New Oven Fried Chicken Sandwich

I was so excited when I saw this commercial for the first time tonight. Then I went and researched stats. 67 grams of carbs???? 11 WW points plus ???? In a 6". WTH Subway, you are going in the wrong direction. Severely disappointed....especially after how good it sounded.

Subway rolls are not something I would eat.

scrape out some of the bread from the inside, and don't have cheese on it (cheese on fried chicken is kinda nasty, anyway). It'll probably be much lower.

I haven't seen it yet, I am not a big fan of Subway's chicken though I really liked their chicken salad but they got rid of it around here. I think it is seasonal so hopefully it will be back.

It's not fried chicken. It's baked. It's a chicken breast with something similar to shake and bake on it.

Anyway, I am not sure why anyone would be surprised by the carb count on this particular sub. With a six inch, you're going to start right away with at least 40 grams of carbs for their buns alone (sometimes more), and then you're adding the breading. Of course it's going to have more carbs than the oven roasted chicken breast that doesn't have breading. The calorie count is still relatively low and can fit into the healthy diets of many people. They can't be all things for all people.

Don't be disappointed anyway, it's supposed to be gross by many accounts.

The picture makes it look nice and crunchy but the reviews I read made it sound soft and crunchless...
