On a quest for the perfect Channa Masala Recipe...
I am on a quest for the perfect Channa Masala recipe. There is an Indian Restaurant by us that makes AMAZING stuff, but their service is terrible. Like epic. You call in take out, they start making it when you show up to pick it up - and after 5 minutes of you standing there they tell you that they are out of chick peas [Yes, this is actually what happened the last time we went for take out]. No recipes I've found have even come close.
I ask that anyone that has a great Channa Masala recipe [or any great vegetarian Indian recipes] share them please.
Erm, I usually mess around with garlic, ginger, spices, onion, chick peas, tin of tomatoes, bit of coconut milk, bit of lemon juice, and it comes out fairly nicely. What have you been trying, and in what way do you feel that the recipes have been lacking?
