Balsamic and Honey

Hello All,
I have been putting Balsamic on my salads, cause I am bored to death with red wine vinegar. I also make a pretty mean sweet and hot chicken, just spices and honey.

Should I be concerned about this, in terms of sugar intake? I can limit the balsamic on the salads cause it is high in calories. In terms of the chicken, should I go easy on the honey?

Thoughts?

I don't consider balsamic vinegar to be high calorie, really - 1 tbsp is only around 15 calories, with 2 g of sugar.

Honey, though, is a different beast. A tbsp of honey has 60 calories, with 16 grams of sugar.

If you're watching your calories or sugar intake, you should track both of these, but I'd be more careful with the honey than I would with the balsamic.

I think it's all about portion control, and would love your recipe for the sweet and hot chicken! I've never been a huge chicken fan but have been eating it as part of my diet- a new recipe would be cool. :)

i agree with portion control. if you just use a little bit it should be ok.. i guess as long as its not dripping off
