Default Buying Meat from a Grocery Stores "Fresh" Meat Case

Does a grocery store have to provide nutritional info on meat they sell in the fresh meat case (manned by the butcher)? Specifically, marinated chicken breasts.

That's a great question! Sorry I can't answer, but it's a great question.

I'm sometimes leery about buying the meat out on display.

No. You don't get nuts on fresh produce do you?

I prefer buying meat directly from the butcher and I always marinate it myself. That way I know exactly what's on it. Remember, the butchers pinch of salt may not be yours. I'm very meager when it comes to using that.

After seeing how some of the "chefs" on the food network throw in salt etc. I much prefer doing my own seasoning.
