Slow cooker help please (an easy recipe I have too)

  • Hello friends,

Does anyone know how to make a curry chicken in a crock pot? Someone told me that you can just use chicken, greek yogurt (nonfat), frozen mixed veggies, curry powder and salt n pepper. Do you think that would work? Any suggestions? I hate cooking so I want something very easy. I was thinking of including some mushrooms and cauliflower as well, since my hubby loves those.

I have just started making a great Moroccan Chicken in my slow cooker that my husband LOVES. I modify the recipe by not including any garbanzo beans, but here it is: Bonless, skinless chicken thighs cut into small squares, garbanzo beans (which I eliminated), tomatoes cut into large chunks, celery and carrots cut into pieces, potatoes (which I also eliminated), onion cut into big chunks, LOTS of: cinnamon, turmeric, salt, pepper and paprika. I cooked it on high for about 6 hours, but it could be on low for 8 hours if you prefer. The whole house smelled AMAZING. You could put this over brown rice, quinoa or cous cous, but I just eat it plain. It ends up being very low in calories, very filling and full of fiber.

I hope someone can help me with either the idea above for the yogurt/curry chicken or with some other EASY crock pot recipe.

    Thank you so much!
  • Here are the links two sites that I use often. I also add or minus according to my needs and diet, but I find that these sites help to give me a good or fresh idea when using the same old-same old ingredients. Hope this helps.

  • Thanks Gelene, I'll check it out. I really like using the slow cooker because it requires such a minimal effort.
