Default Pork Chops?

Hello ladies (and gents)!

I am almost a week new to 3FC and have found my way to this section of the board. I have a ton of recipes that I would love to share and hope that I can find some more healthy and fantastic ones as well.

I was wondering if anyone had a really tasty Pork Chop recipe that they wouldn't mind sharing. Being from the south I was always taught to fry and smother them but that wont work for me anymore so I am wanting to learn something new.

Hi! Another southerner here. I also loved to fry pork chops in my past life. Baked ones always seemed so dry to me. Anyway, after some experimentation, I salt and pepper my chops, put a slice of pineapple on top of each pork chop, wrap in aluminum foil and bake. It is easy and my whole family likes this. I use canned pineapple that is in it's own juices.

I'm not much of a cook, but I have discovered an easy way to cook pork chops without adding a bunch of extra calories.

Prepare the pork chops by putting the following on both sides: rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Let sit for 20 minutes or so.

Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan. When heated, put pork chops in pan and brown on each side for approximately 3 minutes. Be careful not to tear off spices.

Cover pan tightly then remove from heat. For chops an inch or more thick. let sit approximately 8-9 minutes tightly covered. For thinner chops, let sit 5-7 minutes tightly covered. It is very important not to leave them too long or they will overcook.

Remove from pan and enjoy!

Here's a recipe for Cuban Pork Chops with Mojo. We've made it twice so far. I'm not a big pork chop fan but this is the only way so far I have liked it. We used 2 small/medium boneless chops though and I'd say go very easy on the salt. Just to give you an idea, first time, I used 1 TB of kosher salt (recipe calls for 2 TB for 4 chops) and it was very salty for us. Second time, I used 1/4 tsp of kosher salt and it was better. We generally eat less salt so you can adjust it based on how you want . I also used EVOO and half the amount.

Honestly it may sound boring but I put a little bit of olive oil (2 sprays per side, and Italian Seasoning blend, salt and pepper on both sides and through them on the George Foreman grill. We really like them.

I marinate them for a few hours in a small amount of oil and basalmic vinegar and honey. Add salt & pepper and then grill. So yummy!

Sage is a great herb for pork chops but in my opinion you really need the fresh sage, dried just doesn't do it for me. I cut up the sage real tiny, brush the chops with a little olive oil and then rub in the sage, salt and pepper. I let them sit for a while before cooking (however long I have, sometimes a half hour, sometimes a few hours) and then grill them. Delicious!
