I just discovered mini-pitas last week. If you break them in half, you have two itty bitty pockets just waiting to be filled with non-crunchy stuff! A serving size is five whole pockets (at 140 calories a serving), which was plenty for me.

I tried it with a yummy Greek-style sliced olive/olive-oil/basil mix I found at the store, along with some hummus. Delish! Very tangy!

I also tried scooping salsa into them, and it was a satisfying snack for me. Mmmm.

I LOVE your post. I have the same issues at work. It's usually VERY quiet so most of the time I don't want to interrupt it with my crunching! I eat things like cottage cheese, yogurt, oatmeal, dried fruits, nuts (cashews are pretty quiet), muffins & pancakes (make them with carrot or zucchini and you got your quiet veggies). I love the salsa and pita idea! I used to bring boiled eggs, but then I would only eat the white part and would have to have the yellow part sitting in my trash all day stinking up my cubicle so I stopped doing that. I hate bringing attention to anything I'm eating either by sound or smell so I am quiet attentive to this sort of thing. If it smells or is loud I eat it in the cafeteria or in my car for a nice getaway.
