A little tip to add to your diet
I know we all get tired of eating the same old things. I do a lot of fruit and recently i've been stuck on a platuea, and a friend suggested i might be eating too much fruit (sugar) and want to switch to veggies for a few servings. I get bored of raw veggies though sometimes. Recently i started seeing commercials for ziplock's new zip and steam bags, and tried them for the first time today. If you guys are looking for a new lunch/snack suggestion, this is it!
Rather than having raw veggies, i packed a zip and steam bag full of broccolli, baby carrots, string beans, snow peas, and baby corn. Threw in some ground pepper. When i got hungry at work i threw it in the microwave for four minutes, and it came out perfect; the broccolli was just soft enough, the carrots perfect and not mushy but not too raw crunchy. The pepper seasoned everything perfectly and got all in there.
Don't get me wrong i love raw veggies, but sometimes you need a change or want soemthing hot. This worked great and i just wanted to recommend it to anyone looking for an easy fix at work or on the run. I hope this was the right place on the site to post it, still figuring things out in these forums.
