Default Bacon bits

Hormel makes a little jar of bacon bits which has 50% less fat than regular bacon. I buy this at Wal-Mart for $1.89 a jar. One tablespoon has 25 calories. I like this product because it is real bacon, not just wierd colored chemicals called bacon bits. I know real bacon has chemicals in it, but somehow that's different.

I use a teaspoon or so on top of my squash soup or on my salad or an omlette. It makes a nice garnish and adds a bit of salty zing.

Hormel also makes a gigantic bag of bacon bits with 30% less fat. My DH uses these. We buy them at Costco.

I am not suggesting anyone make a meal of bacon bits, but for a garnish these are great. Love garnishes .

Yep, I've bought those in the past, I like putting them on salads.
