Default Denny's

Sooo-

Yesterday, my daughter-in-law and I were out shopping and decieded to eat lunch at Denny's.

We saw the special, 6 little hamburgers (sort of like White Castle) and onion rings. So I thought, we could share, not a bad idea. WRONG
When I got home, I looked up the calories on the internet, for the whole meal 2044!!!!! So, even though we shared, I still had 1022 for lunch. So, I SLim Fasted dinner.

The onion rings were 390 (according to their website). I will never eat that meal again-also, all that grease from the rings has really upset my system. So today I have to stay close to home.

such a shock

Chris

I typically like breakfast places because it's a good place to order a 2 egg omelette (or eggbeaters) stuffed with veggies and covered with salsa. I am also careful to ask for the omelette to be cooked with very little butter/oil. I also like to order 2 poached eggs, 2 pieces of whole grain toast and a side of fruit.

Sorry for the sticker shock at Denny's but don't let it scare you off breakfast places! They are normally a good option.

I looked online at Denny's food and breakfast is really the only good option there. There are options though.

It could have been much worse (you could have eaten the whole thing.) Good job on half-ing it! I hope you feel better soon! Grease doesn't agree with me either.

Man oh man, that sucks. I did that with a thai place once. Thought my meal may have been 300 maybe as high as 400. got home googled it and apparently they use ALOT of oil. More like 900 for just the entree and i had a spring roll too. Geeze. Big let down.

Don't feel bad. We have all made those mistakes. I did just yesterday. We had some leftover tacos and I figured if I used small shells they would not be too bad. I was so hunger (I was out of fresh veggies for snacking) and I ate 3 ! I figured it would be high, but then when I figured it out it was over 900 just for my lunch. I was mortified. But, today is a new day. Don't beat yourself up for it!!
