Default PB2 Powdered peanut butter!

bellplantation.com

I just got my shipment yesterday and I must say I'm quite impressed! It has 54 calories for 2 tablespoons and it is so darn close to regular pnut butter. It's not a total substitute, of course! I like to mix it in my oatmeal, and I discovered that one tablespoon in my hot chocolate makes the most incredible hot drink! Anyone else tried this???

I had never heard of it before. I looked at the website curious how you would use it, but the recipe section had nothing in it yet. How else can you use it?

You add water to it and it becomes peanut butter!

Very intriguing! And WOW - it's inexpensive too. Cool!

Why would you eat this instead of actual peanut butter?

I'd never replace my beloved peanut butter (one of my fave foods in the world LOL)
But it's good for me in some cases. I love peanut butter so much that if I use this sometimes and actual peanut butter in other cases, I don't go too overboard. haha
Also, I like to add it to my oatmeal, and it's easy to get the flavor of pb by just adding the powder to the mix. Also, adding it to light hot cocoa mix makes for a wonderful treat. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I have a really hard time with overeating regular PB (it's on the top shelf), and ordered this as a replacement. Besides in oatmeal, it's supposed to be good in smoothies. Regular peanut butter is high in calories so two tablespoons are about twice the calories of the powdered peanut butter. So you get a great peanut butter taste for half the calories.

Somebody mentioned trying it in no-bake cookies and also using it in cake icing or glaze.

Because it has 1/4 the calories of regular PB.

I have had trouble with Bell Plantations. TWICE they have sent me incomplete orders and they have not made good on either order though I have tried to contact them several times. They don't answer their phone and they do not reply to emails. They don't even respond to the dispute I started in PayPal.

However today I received a very nicely wrapped 5lb bag of roasted peanut flour from this company.
http://www.byrdmill.com/

I ordered it Monday by phone and it arrived today. It is the same thing as the PB2 and it is much less expensive. All you have to do is add your own salt and sweetner. I think that's all the better. AND THEY ANSWER THEIR PHONE AND EMAILS UNLIKE BELL PLANTATION.

So for anyone who liked the PB2 I would suggest this as a solution.

Here is the nutritional info from the package:

1/4 cup of peanut flour (I bought the 12% fat flour)
120 cals
6 grams fat
0 cholesteraol
9 protein
5 g carbs
2 grams fiber
