Lilian, great job!
Carol - you planked! I need to do that.
Today I had a dr appt in the mid-morning so I got to run in daylight I ran 5.2 miles, it was great!

Dr said my iron is okay but my thyroid is high - so I could go on meds but I said no, I'd rather just wait 6 months and see how it is then. I feel fine! He said most women feel like they got a winning lottery ticket when he says their thyroid is high because then they can blame not losing weight on that. Then go on meds and lose weight, but I don't want to do that. I don't want to lose anymore.

Sharon, I've had to learn all of this the very hard way, and just thought I would share a little bit..... but when you retest your thyroid you might try asking your doctor to run the FREE T3 and FREE T4 tests along with the TSH that they normally run. it sounds like your dr was saying that your TSH was high which means your thyroid is low. I went undiagnosed for over 20 years bec drs only ran the TSH and missed my thyroid problem. once I was properly diagnosed and put on Armour Thyroid, well I got my life back! there is a long list of possible symptoms that you might find are better on thyroid meds if in fact your thyroid is low. (but I just realized you said you feel fine) hmmmm anyway, you might want to check out the info at www.stopthethyroidmadness.com or on facebook there is a page called "thyroid sexy" that has a lot of good info.

would be glad to share anything that I know if you decide to check it out further.

I know the feeling. I used to beg the dr. for anything but prednisone but there was nothing.

Cathy, thanks for the info. I'm still shocked by the diagnosis because I do feel great. I'll check out the information you mentioned. I found out last night that my aunt and many women on my dads side of family are on thyroid meds.

Rest day for me today! At least in the am, may do something after school.

Sharon... yes it definitely seems to run in families.

here are a list of possible symptoms... maybe see if anything jumps out at you:

http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/long-and-pathetic/

a person can have one or two symptoms or a list a mile long (like I did)

Well, I am cold a lot. Especially after I eat. And I haven't done as well in my bike group as I had before but I think that was still recovering from the blood donation. I guess I will just watch it and see what happens! Thanks Cathy!
