Hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day! Mine was very nice. Because it was so cold (for Florida) our group ride was pushed back till 10! So for the first time in I don't know how long I slept in!
Did the 34 mile bike ride, still the last one in but improving each week.
Today DH and I are just riding alone instead of in a group so slept in again!
Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and I can't think of a thing to give up for lent. For years it was always some food or to do exercise but now I guess I will need to go on the more spiritual side which is what it should be anyway I suppose.
We don't have Pres day off at my school... But we do have next Friday off!
DH and I had a fun bike ride. 42 miles! I got a flat tire and he got to change it. It's the first one we had to change while riding. Well, "we" isn't exactly accurate. "he" is more like it.
Light walk, tummy trimmer, walk kick and jab, and brisk and steady. When I hear her say,"You'll feel stronger and stornger." I have to disagree. I fell again Sat. night. We went out to eat and I hurried in the first door and went to grab the 2nd door and the first door clipped my foot..........fell into the 2nd door and although I didn't fall clear to the floor I hurt my shoulder and thighs. My hubsnand said I should have waited for him but it was so cold 8 degrees, that I hurried right on in. When Leslia does knee lifts and you raise your arms and pull them down......that hurts. So much for growing old BUT I HAVE had way more touble since my stroke because of balance problems.
I started this strength training in August. I hired a personal trainer and it is some free weights, weight machines and exercises. It is a little expensive but I knew nothing about weights and he really pushes me to do more than I ever would. Before that I tried lifting weights on my own, just 3-8 pounds but was terrible at it.
Carol, so sorry you fell! That's terrible! I Bet because you exercise so much you weren't hurt as bad as you could have been.
I did 2 miles this morning. I used the 5 Mega Miles dvd and then did squats and planks.
Hey Carol - I agree - I don't go barefoot much at all while exercising. I've had plantar facitis before too and I sure don't want to deal with that again. but that walk yesterday actually felt good barefoot. sometimes at 5 am I just don't feel like being bothered to put on shoes LOL ... yesterday was one of those days LOL
