Gosh Carol, you be careful on the elliptical! I need to listen to my own advice. I did the couch 2 5k, second day in a row. You are supposed to take a day off inbetween but it was so fun on Friday that i wanted to do it again. It wasn't as fun today! Yesterday was walk five, run 20, walk five. And I did great! Today was walk five, run five, walk three, run five and repeat and somehow it was harder.

Tomorrow we are riding bikes so I will run on Monday. My first five k is on sept 20 but I saw there is another one next Saturday and DH is busy the whole weekend for work so I may do it.

I have a ton of grading to do tomorrow after that. I did some tonight but am too tired.

Yes I know that is why I HAVE to skip a day in between or my legs feel so wobbly.

Couch to 5k, day two of week six. Came inside and only had time for the flexibility part of the new Leslie DVD. That is a perfect cool down for me.

It's not very easy but you can repeat weeks. Here is the info. http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

If you scroll down there is a chart that shows what you do.

That's kind of like the eliptical intervals. You start with 30sec as hard and fast as you can go and the back off for 90 sec. I started with 3 times and moved to 4 but after that I felt terrible so I stopped.

Did five of the ten minute blasts from the new DVD this morning.
It's hard to get used to not doing miles, but instead ten minutes. My Fitbit says I went 3 miles so I guess 50 minutes is still about 3 miles. I thought the interval one was too easy, but then I've been jogging so that could be why.
I really like that stretch segment and am going to keep doing that after I jog.
