3mi party walk. Since my stroke earlier this year my right leg doesn't work quite right which makes it hard to do those twists on the HITT.

Cathy, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's cancer. I'm sure she is comforted having her family with her. I'll pray for you all.
Tubo, so sorry about your issues, too. I'll be praying for you.
Carol, we are hanging in there. On top of everything, including my son having knee surgery Weds. last week....my little Tootsie crossed Rainbow Bridge early Thursday morning. She was almost 15 and she had been acting "not herself" on and off, but certainly didn't think she would be dying this soon. We are just heartbroken about it, but glad she was able to go with myself and her Daddy right there with her. She was snuggled up against my back when we found she had passed.
Unless I can convince them to do it sooner, my surgery won't be until Jan. 7. I had thought we'd be doing it the day or two after Christmas. If I have to wait until 1/7, that will be two more weeks off work, worry about possible permanent damage to my spinal cord, AND will have to meet another $1000 deductible. Ugh.

Annie, oh my goodness, I am so sorry about Tootsie. Was she a cat or dog? So awful, especially with all the other news. I hope they will move the surgery not for not just the worry about spinal damage but for that deductible. Don't get me started on insurance!
I did the 3 mile party today. And it's a good thing because I ate a lot of cookies.
Hang in there Annie, some good news must be right around the corner.

Thanks, Sharon, I figure all the bad has happened and that things can only get better from here! I still have so much to be thankful for.
Tootsie was our little mini Dachshund, we got her when she was 8 weeks old for my (now 21-year-old) son for his 7th birthday. Although we got her for him, she has always been "my" girl and has been by my side through thick and thin. I've just been sick about it all.

This morning I did four miles of the 5 mile walk slim.
I also bought 5 Mega Miles from collage video and it arrived today so I'll try it tomorrow!
Annie, oh gosh, I love Dachschunds, so cute. I have never owned one,but my husbands uncle in Germany has always had one. I'm so sorry. It just hurts I know. When our dog died in August 2012 we got a rescue dog two days later. It helped with the initial pain but I think in many ways it just delayed the grieving. See message below to Carol.
Carol, Golden retriever puppies!!! Our Golden died a year ago in August. Cancer. We still miss himself and talk about him all the time. He was really my sons dog, whom he got when he was about 10 and he had just turned 22 and graduated from college when the dog died. Didn't have a good job yet and he was so down. Two days later we got a rescue lab mix. Great dog but was obviously abused based upon his behavior. But that dog won the lottery by having my son as his owner. He treats him like he is a royal dog and his girlfriend is just as bad spoiling the dog. They are getting him certified as a therapy dog and take him everywhere. When my son moved out he took the dog with him, so now we just have our little mix, part schitzu, part something else. I keep looking for golden puppies but I really have to wait until school gets out so I am home with it all day for a few months. DH has always wanted a doberman and we have never had the kind of dog he wants. It's always what the kids want. So we will see what we end up getting in the spring.

I did miles 2,3,4,5 of five mega miles.
This isn't a new one, but new for me. I liked it a lot and sweated a ton.
My son and his dog are staying here this week for Christmas (the rescue I mentioned last night) and the two dogs were running and playing and the rescue ran right under my legs when I was doing kick backs and I kicked him. He cried and then ran in his crate and wouldn't come out. Poor Baby. I got him out with treats and love and he seems okay now.

Didn't do a Leslie but I did walk four miles with my kids because we were so stuffed from Christmas dinner. Merry Christmas!
