Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Weekend!

Last night I didn't do any yoga. I had an angioedema flare up. DH and I both noticed my breathing was weird. When I got out of the grocery store my stomach started hurting. When this starts happening, it's awful. The worst pain I have ever experienced. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it lasts for quite a few hours. This particular symptom is called intestinal inflammation. The antihistamines seem to help with the regular symptoms, facial swelling, hives, etc. I took extra Benadryl last night. The pain gone this morning.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Hi Everyone!

I still can't believe how painful those episodes are when I have them. I am so glad they are not very often. I haven't kept track, but I think I only have one every few months. I marked my calendar this time so I can track them. Cody's situation was a week ago to the day. I have always felt my angioedema reactions were delayed. I have really been trying not to think or worry too much about them since it seems like they are fueled by stress, and that makes for a vicious cycle. I was doing some reading about the stomach pain/intestinal inflammation from the angioedema. It seems like there is an approved medication but it is administered by IV. Of course this would not help my situation unless it didn't let up and I had to go to the Dr. or hospital. It's really weird because I start seeing signs of the weird breathing during the day. The stomach pain will normally start early evening (after 7 or 8 PM). I have never had the stomach pain start earlier than that. Sometimes it's a little later. Craziest thing I have ever seen to have that type of pain start like clock work. The pain is literally so bad that I am doubled over in bed, in a fetal position and cannot move. I finally drifted off to sleep last night. I woke without any side effects, etc. I read that some people get nausea or diarrhea, but I don't. This morning/today I did have a sore chest and neck from my muscles constricting last night. That cleared up late afternoon and there are no other signs of what I went through last night.

I had to go to the area around the mall today. The holiday traffic and shopping has already started. I got stuck in traffic and was running short on time so I didn't get to do any extra cardio.

Diana- wow, that's scary pain. Tracking it is a good idea. I'm only scheduled one afternoon in Dec. Might pick up some more days in Dec. but none this week since my brother and sister are in town.

Laura- hi

My food/exercise plan is falling apart with my family plans. I'm going to try to get the workouts in the morning because the days are getting away from me. Luckily, it's only one week.

today-rest

Diana- today my sister and I went to Catching Fire. It was such a great movie. I'll be with my family tomorrow and Thursday. We head to the in-laws on Friday. Is it tomorrow you close business early?

Teacher We will close early tomorrow. I'm thinking about going to a Greek restaurant for lunch. If we do, that will probably be my lunch and dinner. We always go somewhere different for lunch on that day, since we don't get to each lunch out. Do you ever eat Greek food? If so, what are your favorite foods? I am working my way through a list of "Best Of" restaurants in our area. Glad you enjoyed the movie. We have reservations for Thanksgiving. It's just me and DH so there's no reason to cook a big meal. After our dinner we will go to the Festival of Lights. We normally drive through but DH gets frustrated with all of the people. If I drive I can't look at the lights. I looked at their website and noticed that they have a train that goes through the whole park. I want to take the train so we both can enjoy the lights without the drama. They also have a fire pit where we do marshmallows and smores. I think it will be fun. We didn't do it last year because of all the traffic. I like the idea of the train and look forward to it.

I found out today that a former check-in buddy of mine passed away. I never expected to find this out. I felt like I was in a funk and off kilter all day.

Diana- I'm sorry for your loss. That would be upsetting news. I'm not really into Greek food except I love Greek salads. I love to look at Christmas lights. Our husbands would get along cause mine has the busy lights traffic too. We try to go look on a weeknight.

Spent the day baking pies at my mom's house.
