What's Shakeology? Is that the recovery drink or some kind of protein shake? I don't personally, but I do follow the nutrition plan for the most part. I'm actually really liking the 3 small meals 5x a day. It's keeping me satisfied, and I don't ever get full.
Krizstyling, yay for finishing on the same day...we should keep each other motivated! So far so good. I love being able to work out at home, especially now that we're getting a lot of snow here now and I don't want to leave my house. Ever.
I weigh in once a week too...Weight Watchers habit. I weigh myself on Saturdays, and was down 2.5 today. Woohoo! I'll be sure to post my pictures once I have a good "after" shot.

I think the Shakeology thing is just shameless self promotion, you can make your own protein smoothie using powders. But recently studies have shown that low fat chocolate milk has the right amount of protein to help with muscle recovery post workout.
Well ladies, this week went AWESOMELY. I did every workout even when some days I felt like being lazy. However, my weight has not been behaving and I'm still at 163 lbs =/. I think it's the combination of being on my period and not eating amazingly well.
So next week I'm going to keep up with the workouts and also I'm going to try my best to eat right.

I am following the meal plan but not the workout (I am a weightlifter and Insanity is too rough on my joints considering how much lifting I do in the week). I do throw in 1-2x a week cardio with the videos though. I love it!

Hello Sacha and welcome!
So I think I completely agree with you ladies about Shakeology, what I do find is interesting is that all of the coaches on the beachbody website try and sell it to you, they obvz make a commission off of it. Hey, to each their own...I am never above a side hustle =)
How is everyone doing? After 10 days of being on Insanity I dropped over 5lbs...given some of it might've been a little water weight considering I had gained a few pounds over 6 weeks but I couldn't be happier or feel better. I already notice a HUGE improvement in my workouts and my Polar FT is telling me that my fitness performance is improving...how it knows, I'll never know.
Hoping to get down to 147 by the time Christmas comes. Which means, completely being on plan with no interruptions.
This may be just the thing I needed to get me over the plateau I was stuck on before. =)
Hope your weeks are going WONDERFULLY!

Congrats Kriz! Amazing results!!
I started this week off a little sloppily. Monday I went to a Christmas Do and took a rest day, yesterday I was just shamelessly lazy. Today I got back on the ball and I'm skipping the rest day and the recovery day to catch up! Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs was on the agenda! It went really well, except I really suck at the ab stuff, all I can feel is strain in my legs with some moves and not my abs? Anyone else have that problem?

Shake-o is a meal replacement drink (with protein+ lots of other stuff) and the recovery formula is basically a protein shake.

Yup they totally make a commission off of it. It isn't something I would recommend for everyone. I have been thinking about trying it just to see what the hype it all about. I don't use it right now... but you have to watch some of the coaches they are HARDCORE sellers!!

Melissa - Congrats on becoming a coach! I somehow was assigned a coach and she never says or does ANYTHING, I wish I could switch to you! LOL
I am doing well! Had my 2nd fit test this past Monday. I'm down almost 8lbs (could be more as of today), and I'm actually sorta pissed because I bought size 6 jeggings from Express a month ago, thinking I couldn't possibly get past a 6, but my legs are shrinking or something because they are getting looser and looser! It's crazy talk, I know. 18 days and this! UGH! I just hope that when I take my measurements after a full month of it that I lost at least SOME in my tummy!
The weight is great to lose but the inches I need to lose in my belly are what drives me. Since I've been doing strength training for over a year now, heavy lifting, I know I'm pretty muscular, I lost very little muscle during weight loss, but it's impossible no matter how much you lift to keep every ounce.
Anyway, how is everyone else doing? WE MUST stay accountable during these next few hungry days!!! Let's keep each other on track! LETS SKGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

You can switch if you want to! Here is my FB page send me a message and I will give you the info on how to do it, you just basically send a email to coach relations.
I am pretty excited about it!
LOL... I know what you mean about the pants... I have a pair of skinny jeans that just ain't skinny anymore hahaha... I love it and hate it all at the same time!
Sounds like you are doing AWESOME!!
I know what you mean about the tummy too... that is the one spot right now that really bothers me still, I am LOVING the rest now just to get the tummy to that point too... talk about a battle!!

Just started insanity 3 days ago. I finished P90X before I went on vacation for Christmas and have been dying to give insanity a try...its a killer work out. Even after doing P90X I have been sore after the first few workouts (of course a week long vacation and holiday food probably contributed to that). Anyway I look forward to sharing my Insanity journey and hearing advise from those of you who are further along.
Tomorrow is Cardio Recovery...hope thats a good thing.

I have watched the commercials for this many times and it looks awesome! Unfortunately I am so out of shape that this is not something I feel I can do at this time. I have to start out with cardo training wheels but hopefully someday I can move on to something this intense. Congrats to you.

hi everyone
sounds like everyone here really starts to love insanity after a while! i guess it gives me hope that it's going to get easier. I just completed my 3rd day and it's definitely the toughest workout i have ever done. i can't get through the warm up itself without stopping a few times but i guess i'll get better at it eventually.
is anybody here having a recovery formula after they work out? anything you could suggest to me?
I'm really hoping to lose inches with this program, especially around my tummy. i need to make it a habit to keep my CORE TIGHT bc that is where i feel i'm going wrong!
good luck everyone!!

Hey everyone! I'm looking forward to starting Insanity on Monday the 20th. It will be my 29th birthday and I'm looking forward to feeling my best in the last year of my 20's! My story is that I weighed 200lbs in Dec 07 and over the last 4 years, I have fluctuated in my weight and am currently around 136lbs. I'm really hoping to drop down to 120-125 by summer. My boyfriend Jason is deployed to Afghanistan until June and I want to be in the best shape possible when he gets back to surprise him! Wish me luck! Looking forward to going on this journey with all of you lovely ladies!
