I really like the zumba DVD's! I feel like it doesn't work out my abs as much, but that may just be me not doing the moves quite as well as the instructors in the video. I like to do an ab work out on the days I do zumba and do arms on the days I don't. I like the 20 minute work out, but prefer to do 1/2 of the 60 minute one as it seems to move a lot faster and has mostly the same moves.

Not sure what "work" means, but Zumba is definitely fun. My Japanese friend described it as "like clubbing" which I think is accurate.

Compared to running and weightlifting it's probably less stressful on the body, but it depends on the individual instructor and the moves. And EVERYONE gets SWEATY at Zumba, so you know you're burning energy!

Yes! My face instructor says, "your heart doesn't know choreography." and it's so true. Move your body, have fun and you will burn calories.

There is nothing magical about Zumba, it is just exercise, but if you are having FUN, time goes by faster and you might even work harder if you get really into it.

I AMA Zumba junkie and I absolutely love it! It does wonders for toning, too!

hi there!

I do Zumba 3-4 times a week, I would say that it isn't as intense of a workout as some other options, but it's a lot of fun and it gets me motivated to keep exercising, and for me that's what matters! I am just now starting to combine my zumba workout with Jillian Michael's 30 day shred on alternate days, so we will see what the results are!

The best exercise is one you'll stick with

I took my 1st Zumba class yesterday and loved it. Did a lot more than I thought I would and going back on Saturday.

You don't have to know how to dance or be coordinated; I'm not. But it is so much fun! Just don't over-think it....

Chair Zumba is great fun I have mobility problems and found some chair zumba on You Tube I wish there was more like it.

I can't afford classes, but love the fun of Chair Zumba. If anyone has a link to chair zumba or know of any DVD's I can get here in the UK that would be great. Thank you

I know a lot of the fitness centers have those zumba classes weekly or bi-weekly that are supposingly really great. I have tried it on the Wii (lol) but never a REAL zumba class yet, though I will soon as I get the time.

I can tell you that the last time I lost the 20 pounds I'm working on I did yoga, running, zumba and a little resistance training. I'm at a different gym now so I'm doing running, yoga and a little resistance training.
Last time I was at this weight I was firmer than I am now, was soft and curvy but didn't have the belly sticking out like I do right now. I totally credit zumba for the nice waist proportion. Especially if you have an awesome teacher like I did who would point to her core and remind us to tighten up and engage our ab muscles.

I started Zumba for the Wii last week. This week I moved up to using 1lb weights. That made a difference! Im not super sore but I can feel that I am getting a work out. In just a week my boss noticed I had lost weight although my scale doesnt say so. Ill keep you posted on my Zumba success (hopefully it will be success) Its really quite fun. I am going to mostly do Zumba but rotate it with Just Dance 3 so I dont get too bored.

I have been taking regular Zumba classes and enjoy them. I want to buy Zumba Gold to do at home. Has anyone done Zumba Gold and what are your thoughts on these dvds?

I have several friends that have lost weight some over 100 lbs, with Zumba, either the wii, kinect dvd's or classes or a combo of them. This is why I chose to go with Zumba for my workout.
