hey girls! Not gonna lie, after all that b day cake i had on monday ive been cheating on my diet and being lazy i had a binge relapse. Im pretty mad at myself! Im gonna start over tomorrow. Im really disappointed in myself right now.........hope yall are doing good!
I just started Day 1 of the 30 Day Shred yesterday (2/16/11). I must admit that Jillian Michaels is tough and the workout seemed longer than 20mins LOL. I do not have 2 or 3lb weights, I only have 8lbs weights O_O and I didnt realize how heavy they were until Jillian Michaels. I like the weight because I rarely touch weights at the gym and I need to build some muscle. I cannot wait to start day 2 later on today. I wanted to try to do Level 1 for 7 days straight, on top of going to the gym 4-5 times a week.

Hi Diamond! I am with you, I do not use 2 - 3 lb weights. Mine are 8 lbs too! Its harder, but I love the pain! Haha Your workout plan sounds great! I go to the gym, 5 days a week, alternating cardio and strength days. Looking to start Power 90 tomorrow and still do Shred. I am taking pics of my progress, every 25 lbs. I am very close to my first 25 lb goal! Good luck! Can't wait to see how everyone is doing!
Hey y'all! Started 30DS this morning. Th 1st time I tried I couldn't make it passed 12 minutes but today I made it all the way through and it wasn't as hard as I remembered. I am planning on "trying" to do it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. I use to be VERY active so I am a little frustrated at my lack of ability to make it through.
I have a question. For those of you who have been doing it for a couple of weeks now how did you know to move on the next level? Did you go by feeling or time?
I've been doing the 30DS on and off for the past month and it's really made a difference in my fitness level so far. I'm ready to go on to level 2 but have been a bit afraid as I remember how sore I was when starting with level 1! But I think I'm finally ready. I haven't even reviewed the dvd for level 2 - I'm hoping there aren't any jumping jacks

Hey Smoochie!! I just bought 30 day shred yesterday and I start this evening after work. I did 25 minutes on the treadmill this morning and I'm going to do the video in the evening... I would love to track progress with you!
sounds good Danielle!! I ordered off Walmart.com and got notification that it shipped today, so hopefully it will be here by the end of the week!! Have you worked out to it yet? I am curious if I will die the first time or not!!
I'd like to join in! I started yesterday and I could definately tell this morning! It was harder AND easier today--harder, because I was working muscles that were already a little sore, but easier, because I knew what was coming. Crazy enough, I lost .8 lbs from yesterday to today. Probably a fluke, but I'd like to think it's at least in part to the workout.

Today will be day 4. Honestly, it's not hard to keep motivated--I've lost more in the last couple days than I expected to lose in two weeks (I thought the weight loss after the first day was a fluke, but obviously not)...and already half an inch off my waist. It's crazy how effective this workout is!!!
I have been missing in action, since I have been eating everything in sight and scared of the dvd.
But, today, I started back with level one, and I can barely breathe. I wanted to quit, but I could hear Jillian, "don't you quit on me", so I kept going.
Today is my day 1 of level one of the 30 day shred. I want to stick with it and eat healthy for the full 30 days.
At least that is my goal.
I'm about to do day 6 of level 1. I was wondering about something, though. How are you all eating? I don't count calories as it's not something I can picture myself doing for the rest of my life and I have a cheat day once a week (Saturday) that I'm trying to tweak a little so that it doesn't put me off my game so much. Other than that, I try and get as much protein as possible, but I don't avoid carbs tooo much as long as they're in the form of whole grains.
I've also decided that when this month is over, I'm going to reward myself with another one or two of Jillian's videos (probably ripped in 30 + ?). Do you all mix it up with her other videos? Any favorites? I LOVE the 3 2 1 concept.
P.S. I'm going to be a total dork and post more often than necessary, because I'd like to keep this thread going--it helps motivate me!
