Sorry to be missing so long. I have been so busy here.
This is my third week of P90 but had to miss a few days due to pulling a muscle in my lower back. I was not the p90s fault, I did it throwing hay to the cow.
I wonder if I should start over since I missed a few days or continue on?
Hi Candace,
That is ok! I know everyone has a life outside of the internet world. Sorry to hear that about your back. Hope it feels better! No way, you earned where you are, no need to start over! You are doing great, sometimes things happen that we can not control. Stay at it girl! Thanks, my knee is doing a lot better. Hope you have a good day!
Hi I'ld like to join this thread if y'all don't mind. I have Power 90 and want to commit to doing it...I really am doing it more for the resistance portion rather than the cardio since I already get plenty of that doing Zumba....I'd like to start Feb 28 and see how much I can accomplish in 90 days....
Jacki you are doing great! I hope you had a good work-out at the gym.
I am finishing the week off strong. Had a bit of a set back with the back thing but I seem to be back to normal already.
I will take your advice and not start over, but I will only count the days I worked out. I do want to be consistent. Cheating is only cheating me.
Hi Candace, Yes I agree, do not count all of the days you missed. I need to re-adjust my days, I didn't add my 1 day off for the week. You do get to add 1 off day per week to your days you worked out. Today is Day 9 for me. Looking to do P90 at 8am. I can't believe how focused and determined I am. The only part of this dvd I do not like is the yoga! haha I get better every day!
Fantastic job, good focus. It is so helpful when the mind and body are working together. I am glad that you are feeling so determined to continue.
I like working out in the morning too, then it is over and the rest of the day lays ahead. Sometimes it doesn't work out though, and later day workouts are doable.
I hate the yoga too. It is so hard. I cannot imagine doing the yoga on P90X. It is like over an hour long!
I guess the yoga is a wake-up call for me that I am out of shape and not flexible. So it is probably good for me. (but I still cringe when I have to do it)
Keep up the good work.
Hard to believe that no one else is doing P90.
Oh well.
I just started 3 days ago. Sweat 1-2 was so hard for me that I had to stop and try it again later in the day lol. I got through it during my second try. I figured out that during my first try... I was going their pace and not my own. I was still out of breath and sweating though. Whoo! All that kicking and running and punching! The Ab Ripper was brutal. Couldn't do anything. Especially all that leg lifting since most of my weight in down there. Instead I did some crunches with the help of my exercise ball. I'm so excited to be doing this!
I'm starting the regular P90 DVDs today. I did them at the beginning of the year and was able to keep up with them for maybe two weeks (a record for me) but then life got in the way. My cousin started with P90 and has lost over 100 lbs. He's doing P90 - the master series now (I think?) and looks amaaaazing!
I finished my 6th day of P90 yesterday and today is my off day. I really wanted to do it today too, but I thought maybe my body needs to recover....I'm excited to start again tomorrow. The first 5 days were horrible...i ached so bad....my legs shook, my arms shook, but my 6th day I actually wasn't sore anymore. I'm not following the meal plan, but I'm trying to eat better and drink lots of water. I've cut out all soda and diet soda. I'm excited to see results!
ok ok ok ya'll are inspiring! i have the dvds and havent used them. boooo on me. tomorrow i will restart again. i might mix it up because i am tired of just doing day one video over and over (since i never make it past that...) i will report tomorrow...
Someone loaned me the p90x dvds but I don't know much about the format of the program. Are you supposed to do one video every day? Any particular order? Are there rest days? I've tried a couple and they kicked my butt
Hi Lobon!p90x has a set schedule depending on if you want to do "doubles, lean..."You follow the set for whichever program you chose to follow.I just recently moved and haven't been able to find my p90x video set, too chicken to attempt it now anyways.I'm gonna keep my eye on this thread tho as I'm looking for something else to do after the 30 day shred. I feel p90 may prepare me for p90x and such
