Hi ladies, I was wondering how you all like the Walk Away the Pounds?? I see on Target.com there are a bunch of different videos, I was also wondering what you ladies might recommend?? I gain a lot of my weight in my belly, most of fit actually. I saw the Walk Away your waistline...has anyone tried that? Which do you see the best results with? How many times per week would you recommend me starting at?
Thanks in advance!

want2bfit4me, good luck on the 21 Days Before Thanksgiving challenge!
Was scheduled to do the 2 Mile youtube walk yesterday for my rest day, but I ended up tacking on the 1 Mile Express Walk on the front of it. Then today I was scheduled to do the 3 Mile Slim and Sleek walk, but I am not feeling well at all so I think I'll do the 2 Mile walk instead.
Welcome LittleLindseyLouHoo! I've only been doing Walk Away the Pounds for a couple months now, but I really love it. Unlike a lot of other fitness videos, it's really straight forward. I found that helps me concentrate more on doing the moves to the best of my ability rather than being confused and possibly having bad form. This isn't a specific recommendation, but all the workouts I've done have helped with the mid-section as Leslie is constantly reminding you to engage the core muscles. Hope this helps at least a little

2 mile fat burn, resistance bands, enjoying my soups without added starches and low in cal/carb. yesterday was an Asian flavored one. I am surprised how filling it is. I had thought the potato, bread, pasta, rice was what was the filling part but it isn't for me.

Welcome Lindsey!
I have six WATP DVDs and Leslie's Yoga and Pilates DVDs. All of her workouts will work for you. They all work on the core. I like mixing up the walking workouts with yoga and pilates. As a beginner it is nice to start your collection with a workout that has the option of individual miles or the option to complete the entire workout. I would start with 1-mile and work up from that. If you are consistent with your workouts, you will see results.
Yesterday - Well I did not work out with LS last night something more important was happening. The World Series!!! I knew I would be glued to the tv last night so I took a 3-mile walk at lunch so I don't feel to guilty.
San Francisco Giants you rock!!!!!!
Hope you all have a great day.

3 Mile Boot Camp w/ bands this morning. I was huffin' and puffin' for some reason today. Drank extra water.
I was on FaceBook last night when Leslie did her 30 min. chat for the 21 Day Challenge. She was swamped with messages. It was really cool to see all of the posts, though and see how many lives have been changed because of her work.

Thanks dorkabrain for the good luck wish.
Today is day 2. Leslie recommended a 1 mile walk with a boosted walk thru it so I did the classic walk from the 5 Day Slim Down. Then she has a upper body routine posted on her blog that I did with 1 lb dumb bells. Tomorrow is the 3 mile walk again I think. I am going to do my best to complete what ever she challenges me to do.

You know, Leann, I saw that dumb bell video on her site last night. There is no good reason I coudn't try to work that into my schedule tonight. I may give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration.
I went back and looked at the videos. I don't have one of those bands, but these are similar to the resistance work on the 3 Mile Boot Camp. I suppose I could replace the band w/ weights....is that what you are doing?

Annie I went to her blog site for Day 2......
http://www.walkathome.com/blog/challenge/day-2/
and I followed her routine for the upper and lower body workout. I had to write it down and look at it as I was doing it. I did not have the band so I used my 1 lb weights. I guess you could use the resistance bands but you would have to do one side of the body and then the other. The weights were just easier for me to do both sides at once.

Hey gang
Annie - I am so sorry ... I did not see that you had started a November thread. I guess it was a typical monday morning for me so sorry for the confusion!
I did 2 miles this morning. I used the Walk Your Belly Flat dvd. I wish I had time to do 2 miles in the morning and 2 miles in the evening...or even to do 3 miles in the morning....but dang I just can't seem to swing more exercise than what I am doing my metabolism sure needs a good swift kick in the pants
looks like everybody is doing great with their walking
later gaters
