Default Jillian Michaels Videos--Which ones are good?

I have heard that some of JM's videos are terrible. Which ones are good? I am just starting to get back into working out. Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks!

I just got the 30 day shred. It has three levels, they are about 20 minutes in length. I have only done it for a week so far, but I am sweating by the time I am done with it. It kicked my butt the first couple times, I was real sore the next couple days. This is the only one I have tried; and I would recommend it.

Good luck finding one that works for you!

I love 30DS. I haven't tried the others yet, but I plan to.

Since 30DS has 3 different difficulty levels and since it's so short I think it's really good for beginners.

I love "Banish Fat Boost Metabolism." It might be my favorite workout video ever. It's HARD, probably not a good choice for an exercise beginner, but I think it's fun.

I've also done all the levels of the 30 day shred and liked them.

I agree....I just started 30 day shred yesterday (Level 1-20 minute workout) and you would think that I spent hours in the gym yesterday. I am sore from my head to my toes....it's great!

I got mine new on Amazon for less than $15

Good luck

I've done all her workouts (thanks ExerciseTV On Demand!) and I *like* all of them. I like that it takes care of all areas of exercising: cardio, strength, and abs in one workout without taking more than an hour (though you feel like you just spent a few hours at the gym afterward). And the fact that it's done in circuits, so you're only doing something for 30 seconds before moving on.

The only thing I don't like is that you barely get time to catch your breath, so I find myself pausing the video or missing out on exercise to get some air. It's one thing on the 20-minute workouts to keep moving, but BFBM and NMTZ are nearly an hour. Even the fit need to stop and breathe for a minute.

Howdy fellow Jillian Fans!

I have

30DS-A great workout when you are short on time. 3 levels each 20 brutal minutes long!

No More Trouble Zones-I just LOVE this one!! It's my fave!!!!Cardio and toning at the same time! She works all your muscle groups. You will feel it and see results. I actually like to add BL Weightloss Yoga onto this one. Jillian puts knots in my muscles and the ever adorable Bob takes them out!

Banish Fat Boost Metabolism-This one is tough for me. I love all the circuits except the ones with the plyo/jumping exercises bother my bad knee. So I may just skip those (2 I think) and do the others and work up to the plyo when my knee is ready.

I am hoping she has some new ones out in the near future.

If you are a beginner, I suggest starting with the Biggest Loser dvd's. I have Cardio Max(Bob Level 1 20min, Jillian level 2 10 min and Kim level 3 10 min plus a warm up and cooldown), Power Sculpt(Level 1 Jillian 20min, Level 2 Kim 10 min, Level 3 Bob 10 also with warm up and cool down) Weight Loss Yoga all three levels with Bob, Level 1 20 min, Level 2 15min, Level 3 10 I think). You can add levels together or add Cardio Max with Power Sculpt. So many options with these! AND when you are more advanced, start with 30DS then do one of these.

Anyhoo...just my $.02
