I have to learn how to use the bands properly. It's not the position of the bands that's the problem (I've watched the instruction), I have to know how to make the most of the bands. I feel like it's kind of "easy" on the arms. I have to leave a bigger loop between the feet so I have more resistance. On the Burn Circuit 3 I'll be giving my arms a very hard time.
Is not like it's easy though, but I could do 2 or 3 more reps and I know that it's not right.
I know that this might sound crazy, but I'm feeling the difference on my shoulders. That makes me happy.

I'm having the same problem. It's hard to learn to use the bands properly AND focus on form at the same time, but I'm confident we'll get it.

Chalean Extreme day 2 today, and Insanity day whatever. Haha, two workouts, with house-cleaning in between. Should be fun, I'll check in later
EDIT: I did it! BOTH workouts, and my house is sparkling. I'm so proud, haha.

Hi Kristy
what your opinion on the Insanity workouts?

OMG, I did today for the first time the Burn Intervals. What was that? That is KILLER!!! I had to stop a several times to catch my breath and with 15 minutes left, I was wasted. Do you know like, when you're trying to give your best, but your body doesn't respond? That was me today. Did anybody else feel that way? I think I'm gonna do this workout 2x a week.. to get more endurance.
I was so tired I that I didn't to the Ab Burner properly.

They are hard, but great. If you look at my first post over in the Insanity thread, I give my whole assessment of it so far.

Hey MJ I haven't officially began yet but I tried the Burn Intervals for "fun" and I barely lasted 20 mins! Sooooo hard! It didn't help that my fiance had started a fire so it was hot in here but wow!

Wow, everyone is doing Great!!
Well, I started the 90day program over again-Love it so Much! the first time around So on wk2/d1 of Burn Phase. I find this time around, I'm trying very hard to stay with Chalene, not too fast or too slow, and increasing my weights, so I do fail at 10-12 reps. It really makes a big differance for me.
Well, have a great Friday everyone.

I usually have a very sore body on the day after the workouts. Yesterday I was suppose to do the Burn It Off & Recharge, but I had a sick day... with mild fever and everything.
Since today was my rest day, I pushed the routines for today and I'll add up TJ's Fat Burner. I hope this does not have a negative impact on my workouts....
Monday is my w2/d1 of the Burn Phase I'm sooooo happy that I'm doing this workout. Chalene is freaking amazing and I love her!!

I peaked at the scale today, (BAD I KNOW) and I was up to 145.8
I had gotten down to 143.8 but my officially weigh in is Monday so I haven't recorded it here yet....
Please pep talk me about this because I seem to always gain weight which I KNOW happens in the beginning but I still struggle with motivation if I see the scale creeping up. Especially when DF is asking me how I've done all week and I have to report a gain. He gives me disappointed look while saying "well this is a new week!"
Does anyone stay off the scale while doing the first 30 Days? I'm tempted but I'm worried I'd slack off my calorie counting.
I'm eating 1500 cals per day on average. Too much?
I'm off to guzzle more water while I get my homework done!
Tomorrow is Burn Circuit #2.

Ok, I just did the Burn It Off.... wow. I want to die! I'm so red and sweaty... I'm so hot that I feel like I'm on fire!
Update: After the Burn It Off, I took a 5 minute break and then I did TJ's Fat Blaster. I did the whole thing high impact and I was surprised to see that in the warm up my heart rate was already at 186!!! And the end of Turbo n. 3, my heart went to 197!! Holy cow!!! I was sweating like a pig.
And then there was the Recharge... what a blessing! LOVED IT!
I did a total of 1hr and 20 min of exercise and was surprised to see that I've only burned 615 calories (I don't have a body bug, just a regular heart monitor)! :/ 1 hour of cardio! F*ck! But I know I did my best, I know that I sweated a lot and that my heart rate was sky high. But those little things just brings me down :/

I am staying away from the scale!!!! I know thar I may gain a pound or 2.. but it's muscle!!! Not fat, but muscle! I strongly suggest you to do the same... and get back on the scale on day 30 so you can track your progress. The best way to that is to go by the inches, not weight.
I eat about 1400 calories per day (some days I eat 1200, 1000, 1500). To lose a pound you should cut 3500 calories per week, and that can be done by dieting and exercise (250/250). I keep a spreadsheet where I register the amount of calories I had during the week and I put down the calories I burn during the exercise. My goal is to reach at least 3500 less a week and last week I "cutted" almost 5000 calories (including from dieting and exercises). No scale for me right now.
Please commit to this. Do this for you and stop making excuses! Like Chalene says, when you don't feel like exercising, give her 5 minutes and you'll change your mind. And trust me, that works.
I'm here everyday and I'm very glad that I have these girls to help me and encourage me.

Hello fellow Chalean Extremers!
I'm officially back on the wagon after falling off it big time over Christmas / New Year's. This was the first year we did my folks AND his folks and there was just constant eating!
I've been doing a bit of Turbo Jam the last few weeks but want to get back into Chalean. My first time round I got as far as towards the end of Push. I started my first Burn 1 yesterday and I am definitely lifting waaaaaay heavier than the first time I did it and I'm not even sore today. I think it's because I really properly engaged my stomach muscles.
Does anyone else sometimes substitute Burn Intervals with Turbo Jam at all? I just find Turbo Jam more fun but I guess the interval training is probably more effective at burning fat?
