Default Preventing Exercise Injury

Hi,

I'm currently trying to lose 70-75 through Gilad's Best of Bodies in Motion and Tae BO Advanced (the original tapes). However, the biggest thing that worries me is exercise injury. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone on her has any tips as to how to prevent exercise injury.

The shoes that I wear are amazing (Sketchers), I wear comfortable clothes, try to maintain good form (which can be hard if you're a beginner), and I make plenty of room so that I don't bump into anything.

Does anyone else have any other ideas?

1. Stretch! Stretch thoroughly after every workout, even muscles you don't think you used as much. Exercise affects the whole body and built up tension in the muscles can lead to injury.

2. Listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right, try to adapt the move to make it more comfortable. Pain does not equal gain!

Warmups - lite jogging in place, stable twisting, neck rolls - basically a lite cardio routine is a good warm up b4 exercise.

How long should you spend warming up?
