Walk Away The Pounds - November - Daily Check-In
Well, well, well! We're getting ready for the holidays. Lay off that Halloween candy and walk with Leslie instead.
As the holidays approach, remember, it's all about you and your health. We can do this!

Mommy2girls, Walk Away The Pounds (WATP) is a walking in place program. Leslie takes us through many different steps (side, knee lifts, kicks, etc) and runs the heart rate up then cools down. She has many different programs. You can get one of the beginning programs at Walmart. Look for a purple package and you'll get the stretchie band with it. Or, you can do like I did. I went to the library and checked out several of her dvds. In fact, that's how I discovered her. I checked out many different dvds by all sorts of people. I just kept checking out hers and renewing it. Then I decided that I'd hogged it long enough. I needed to let others discover the workouts. I went ahead and spent the $10 or whatever it was. Also, you can go to Gaiam.com. Look in the clearance area. There are about 6 of her dvds on sale for under $10.
boobalah & I did the 2 mile Fast Walk this morning. He was reading the paper and wanted to read a bit more. I told him the paper would still be there and he could read it while he was cooling off. He listened!

I set a goal for myself to do SOME kind of activity EVERY DAY of Novermber. I don't care if it's Leslies 10 min Tone-Up (though I'm aiming at the 4-mile Super Challenge)... I'm going to do SOMETHING.
Today I did the WATP 2-Mile w/ 3# weighted balls (instead of the belt). November.. I'm kickin' your butt!

Sounds like something Paula Dean would make.
Sounds heavenly!
I'm glad I'm not around them.

We got up early and once again did the 2 mile fast walk.
I'm hoping to get him to do Fat Burning for Dummies this weekend. That is one hard workout.
We'll also do one of Leslie's other ones for some sort of variety. I'm getting tired of the same ole one.

We started the 4 mile Fast Walk. boobalah had to drop out. We think he may have torn something in his calf. So, no more workouts for him for a few days. I completed the walk. whew! This afternoon we are helping my DD move. So, I guess moving furniture will count as a workout. Don't know how boobalah will do, he'll wear a brace on his leg.

Good morning ladies!
I just won 3 Walk away the pounds videos on ebay. I have a friend that raves about them I was just wondering if you could tell me which ones are the best and most effective.
Thanks!

Congrats on winning the videos! Which ones did you win?
I have quite a few of her dvds now. I started with the 1 mile. It's the one that has the purple stretchie. There are many different ones. Right now we're enjoying the 2 Fast Miles.
We helped my DD move yesterday. Poor boobalah. He definitely tore something in his calf during our morning workout yesterday. He had an ace bandage on it all day while moving some pretty heavy stuff. Needless to say, he is not doing morning workouts with me for a few days.
Since I was working out alone, I did the 5 Mile Advanced Walk. Two of the miles were just walking. The other 3 used the boosters. So I used the hand weights, belt and stretchie.

I'm getting better now after getting flu/cold. I think I should be back to exercising by Wednesday. I hate being sick.

Shy, I'm going to be nosey and ask the question.
Why are you having such a difficult time with your lungs? You poor thing! It sounds like you've had some sort of damage to them.
