Question YBB? Great or gimmick?

I just joined the website about a week ago. Lost 2 lbs so far. Yeah me!! I just ordered the YBB set off of beachbody.com and it should be here by the beginning of next week. I was just wondering if this is any good? I haven't excersied a lot in the past two years since I had my first child, but it looked really fun on the infommercial (don't they always?). I like yoga and Pilates but wanted a higher impact work out. I think this comes with the 3 main DVDs + Hip hop abs, Cardio Caberet the squishy ball and Dancers 7 day diet. Thanks for any help you may be able to give this YBB newbie.

Hey Kitty!
I got YBB for a Christmas gift...I have not followed the exercise program but do like the videos. They are fun and you will sweat a lot! The ballet section for the butt and thighs is hard but doesn't last very long and you will feel the results. I should be more strict about following there workout schedule, I'd probably get greater results. Especially if you haven't exercised in a while, this will be a great and fun way to start! They can be a little campy, but just let go of your inhibitions and have fun and it'll be great! I currently do it a couple times a week...the Hip Hop Abs might be my favorite one!

Good luck!

I also really enjoy the videos...I don't notice how hard the workout is in the middle of it, but I am FEELING it the next day.

I like these videos also. Can be kind of cheesy, but can't they all? I agree with Mandalinn I don't notice how hard I'm working during the workout, but I definately feel it later that day or the next day. I do it once or twice a week to give me variety from my other workouts. I get bored easily. So it's a nice change!

I just coulnd't get into it so I swapped it for Slim in 6 But we are all different, I know there are lots of people who like it. I thought the workouts (at least some of them) were good, but I didn't like the style of the instructors.

I kind of agree. I think the workouts were ok, a nice break from my regular routine, but something about me just never clicked with me. Maybe it was too fun? not sure.

Definitely a lot of fun :] It can be pretty cheesy sometimes, but it really makes you feel like they're into it, which makes you feel into it :]

They are fun. I like them even though they are cheesy. My daughter, on the other hand, can't stand them - so it's all individual taste!!!
