I'm going to have to try those recipes. They sound great, and I always tend to eat the same things all the time.
As for me, I did great with food and exercise yesterday. Today will be a good one, too. So far I had scrambled eggs made with egg substitute. Now I'm off to exercise at the Ladies Workout Circuit. Later on is my Tai Chi class.
Have a great day, everyone!

Today's been really good. Rode the stationary bike in the morning, then went out to lunch with my mom. We both had roasted chicken and two vegetables, no bread. I like that combo--seems to give maximum enjoyment and minimum calories. Dinner was light, also, and I actually need to eat a snack now 'cause I haven't even had 1000 calories yet. I've got to be really careful, though. This is the most dangerous time of day--snacks lurking everywhere!

I'm so excited! I got on the scale this morning and I am down a pound. I'm now 146. It's been a whole year since I've seen that number.
I tried to make my weight tracker. I followed all the instructions, made a cute little one, but it wouldn't stick. I copied and tried to paste, but it's not happening, so I just changed my numbers near my avitar. Oh, well.
So far I had a low-fat bran muffin for breakfast, and plan on doing great today. As far as exercise, I'll go to the gym and practice Tai Chi.
Have a great day, everyone!

I weight in on Fridays, so I am still hoping for good results this week. I have lost 5 pounds so far. I have not been doing as well this week though. There was a donut involved!!! I made sure I got on the treadmill that night though. I will post again this weekend with results.
Thanks for a place to challenge myself.

Betsy! Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Keep us posted.
Congrats Dena!!! I know how hard it gets when the scales don't move for a long time. Good for you!
I ate too much couscous for lunch today. I love that stuff, but it's got a jillion calories. Here's hoping it doesn't tip the scales tomorrow.

Happy Friday, Everybody!!
Welcome, Betsy.
Jazzbird, thanks for your kudos. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated.
This is the part of the week when it starts to get tricky. My goal is to be good all weekend. Those pesky weekends are not that easy for me, but I'm going to give it my best shot.
Have a great weekend.

Happy Friday to you too, Dena.
Oh, the tricky weekend. Sometimes I just need a big piece of duct tape. Ok, my very short-term goal is to tell myself that I won't suffer hunger and deprivation if I have that smaller portion. And that I won't have a dull evening if I pass up the second glass of wine.

I'm in the same boat. Last night, my kids came to me and asked what's for dinner and when I replied chicken, they both looked disappointed. Chicken, steamed broccoli and cauliflower with brown rice....it's a staple. I really don't mind eating it often, but I guess I've got to mix it up a bit!
Good news, after a sudden 2.5 pound gain last weekend (which decided to become stubborn and stay on due to some bad choices AFTER it arrived) I have finally gotten .5 pounds away from my ticker. I'll be good this weekend (which will be hard, DD wants to go out to dinner this weekend). My inlaws return next Sunday and I'd like to be 138 when they arrive.
Have a great weekend everyone!

The scale is virtually unchanged from last week. Is that good news, or bad? I need a new week.

And yes, Jazzbird, staying the same is definitely good news. Hang in there.

Den@ that's awesome.... Wish I could say the same about yesterday, but I had the ThanksGiving Supper here so it was hard to stay on track... Today I made great vegetable soup with the turkey bones so that will be my food of the week...
