Abandoned my goal of point four pounds per week, as it's getting too difficult at this calorie and exercise level. Just wanted to make it into the one-oh-fours, and...
Official weigh-in for Sunday, July 26: 104.8
So that was nice. You are not going to believe this, but I'm changing my goal to POINT ONE pounds per week. This makes my UGW date sometime next year instead of September. But I'm in no hurry.
We are in Ohio at a bluegrass festival. We are in a tent, so my scale would not work even if I did bring it (which I did last year!). Yeah, taking my scale to the road and standing on it would make me look crazy.
There is a Planet Fitness, so we will still go to the gym and I think eating healthy will be even easier since my food choices are limited to what I have with me for the most part.
There is a supermarket locally with a blood pressure machine with a scale, but I won't be able to get a naked morning weight. I'm hoping not to do too much damage this week
7/25 119 lbs
I found a medical clinic inside a super market we were in so I asked to use their scale (since I'm ns 119lbs after the gym, with my clothes, around 11:30. That's good enough
That's really good, Jen, especially if you're at a festival! Lol your comments about taking a scale. I actually did that on our last vaca, since I was trying to hit weight before commencing partying.
I'm also thinking about how to eat on a longer vacation. Yesterday, I came up with sticking to 2000 calories a day. Since my problem is I'm hungry all the time, 2000 would make me feel like I WAS on vacation, but not tied down to the usual 1200. Anything under 2000 would make me feel rebellious, I think. None of that probably makes sense, but there you go.
I was considering "intuitive eating." But that would probably end up as a free for all, as I would probably convince myself that anything at any time was perfectly fine and "intuitive." It migh work for some, but I don't think it would work for Miss Hunger Mania.
I actually watched what I ate closer than normal and exercised more, just in case! I don't eat differently while away from home. We will take food with us and go to supermarkets, so I bought fresh vegetables and Greek yogurt, low salt deli turkey, grilled chicken, and fruit. I just normally won't eat deli meat.
If you feel hungry on 1200, maybe try 1500 instead of 2000? I would be unhappy on 1200, but 1500 is enough to maintain with cardio with the occasional day over or under. Overall, I keep a -3500 balance each week to maintain (calories burned from the Fitbit charge hr and calories eaten by keeping track on Loseit). Fitbit will send you a weekly progress report letting you know the net amount since it syncs with Loseit.
You are doing a great job with what you are doing now, as always.

Thank you, and so are you! Since I'm having trouble even hitting four-tenths of a pound loss on 1200, I don't think I could do it on 1500. But I'm hungry even if I eat what I want every day all day. It's probably a neurosis.

The bump up after last weekend was not surprising - yep, the 3 days of "No WI"s mean I was away from home. I just can't stick to my strict diet when I am on other people's turf and I am smaller than they are. Oh well, I have admitted complete failure in that department, but at least I have learned how to get right back on track. Kudos to all of you who manage to stay on your plans at concerts/parties/cabins/camping etc. The best I can hope for is not going completely into binge mode.
You would think that the fact that it takes me an entire week to come down from a weekend bump up would give me the motivation to not go off the rails... but nope.
This graph should remind me that every time I go off the rails, it sets me back so much. I wish I could remember this more.... 2 months to lose ~5 pounds? {also 11 days to lose 0.2 pounds!} LAME. On to AUGUST!!!

Into the 130s - that's just so awesome, Emma! I know I already mentioned it, but it's still an achievous moment. And I can relate to it taking a week to recover from a bump. But, to tell the truth, I was grateful it only took that long for the last three-day blowout!
As far as losing 2/10 in 11 days...it'll be fourteen days before I get that off, starting next month. I think I must have the teensy, tiniest goal in history. Which makes it totally doable!
